They’ve seen it it’s just not talked about because it dosent fit the god complex his fans have with him but hey he’s 6-0 in the finals and never seen a game 7
@@tha1man744 Or maybe it's just because it's a rare time where he was actually eliminated in his prime...didn't happen often maybe that's why it's not talked about as much 🤔
who cares, what exactly did MJ have to prove at that point? he already won 3 championships and not to mention he swept Orlando the next year and won 3 more championships lmaooo
Some people don't want to believe it but this was a prime Jordan playing here, his stats this run were better then the ones in the following year. They were the worse team even with MJ on the field and this shows that one player isn't enough.
@@Kuroganemk2…which is horsesh!t, this absolutely was NOT a prime Jordan, ballers know it takes many many months to get game rhythm. Jordan came back to basketball (un-retired) way too late in the season to be ready for playoff basketball, let alone championship level basketball.
@@22tango79 That's not what the stats show, they lost cos they had no Rodman or Horace Grant. Winning is a team game and even Jordan can't do it himself.
@@KevinTkt14 Me telling it like it is, ain't putting the nigga down. That bullshit narrative y'all push about him being rusty is ridiculous, when Chicago's biggest concern vs Orlando was their front-court, and had no answer for both Shaq and Grant, which is a reason they went to get Rodman. The nerve you of you telling me "Im putting the black man down" when you have plenty of Jordan fanatics who are black men themselves constantly bash someone like LeBron to protect the former's status regarding popular opinion. Cry me a river
Love that this is the low-point of MJ's career from 1990 to 1998. Losing in the second round to Shaq and Penny who made the Finals after taking a year and a half off of basketball. And he averaged 30 in this series. Then the next season he leads the Bulls to 72 wins before winning 3 straight titles. GOAT shit.
@@LeoWhalen1933 wrong. Possession wouldn’t mean shit at this point. Orlando was up 6 points with 4 seconds left. There is no way to come back from down 6 with 4 seconds. Impossible.
@@Ssjiskkidjj did you miss the part where this loss propelled Jordan to reinvent his game and his workouts and resulted in a 70 win season and 2nd three-peat? Are you a child?
But Mike jus come back a few months ago this game.. Mike killed the whole league for 3 seasons straight right after.. but u right.. Penny got Mike this game 😂
I dnt like how ppl conveniently forget this happened. Jordan came back an lost in 95. If Houston swept Orlando, what you think would've happened w the Bulls?
Who forgets? No one does. I lived in Chicago, we were PUMPED MJ was back. But dude, it was late March. He hadn’t played in almost 2 years. Not 2 months, 2 years. He was not in basketball shape, and while he showed glimpses of old MJ he showed rust and fatigue too, especially in the playoffs. His legs were dead, jumpers were short late in games etc…. It happened, but the expectations put on him after that long away were ridiculous even for him. And he put up a big fight still. Give him one full off-season to prepare, piss him off, and you saw what happened. He made a mockery of the league the next year and ended Orlando’s future. Shaq bailed to LA and they fell apart.
@@dapper892if his legs were dead and his jumpers were short late in games, why is he getting big points in games? He got 40 points in this series, 39 points in another game of this series. He got 24 in this game.
@@hectorlopez1069 both things can be true can’t they? Can’t he be gassed and still find a way to score? Yea he had 24 in the close out game but if 4-5 jumpers weren’t short late, maybe he ends up with 30-32 and they win. That’s the point. I saw these games live. Announcers and media commented on it AT THE TIME. And it wasn’t just fatigue, it was rust like I said above. It was both. Stupid mental errors you rarely saw from him like getting picked from behind by nick anderson. Nick anderson made comments MJ wasn’t like the old MJ, which is why MJ switched back to number 23 during the series. Everyone was saying this shit for a reason. See you think googling shit on BBR makes you informed. I lived in Chicago and saw these games live, you can’t google that kind of experience watching and listening to daily media, interviews and reports.
@@dapper892 The nigga's averages were better than the 1996,97,98 postseasons, and the main reason they lost, is because they had no one to help deal with both Shaq and Grant in the painted area, aka "Dennis Rodman".
You know he came back end of March in 1995 right? For like 17 games. He hasn’t played a pro game since June of 1993 lol. If you think he wasn’t gonna be out of basketball shape and rusty then you never played sports. He came back they lost, it happened. But he had zero time to get back into form. After a full offseason to get back in shape and prepare he took massive shit on the league winning 72 and busted up Orlando’s dynasty before it began. Shaq wanted no part of MJ, bailed for LA the next year 😂😂😂😂
Lol dude he played just 14 games after retiring for nearly 2 years. If u a LeBron fan he just got swept, not to mention his special 2011 season where dude was a below avg player
Wow Hardaway is beating MJ in several head to head match-ups. He was amazing back in those days. Up to this point the Magic was the only team to beat MJ in a play-off series.
People try to really overplay this loss by MJ, but it speaks to how insane his resume is that after 18 months away from basketball and then just 17 regular season games, Orlando beating them with home court advantage was considered an upset. I always said, this was then end of "Air" Jordan. MJ was stuck between two eras...he still had the old body, but because of the inactivity and the fact he was 32, he wasn't the demigod level athlete anymore. The way they lost and the increased athleticism of the league required him to bulk up and ground his game to offset his aging. And did he ever come back with a MF vengeance in 1996. His fadeaway jumper and exquisite fundamentals...hell, I think more people remember the MJ from 1996-1998 than the one from 1986-1993.
The Magic were a bad matchup and a lot of people don't want to give them credit for this win. It's more shat Jordan didn't do right than what the Magic did right. Interesting fact in this game 6 that led to the Bulls demise was that Orlando was red hot from 3 going 12-24. I dont think any other team in the 90s hit 12 3s vs the Bulls in a playoff game in any series.
I'm sorry... I am not convinced that if the Bulls brought back the same core for the 95-96 season, even with an ever before motivated and rejuvenated MJ, that they would have won the title that year. MJ was MJ and with a healthy and still prime MJ (and Pippen) you were always going to at least have a shot, but the biggest difference between 94-95 and 95-96 was DENNIS RODMAN. Luc Longley and Will Perdue had NO answer for Shaq, but Rodman defended young prime Shaq as well as ANYONE ever could. His energy, rebounding, defensive intensity, almost genius level B-ball IQ, ability to get under the opposing star big man's skin etc. was just about perfect for what the 2nd 3-peat Bulls needed going forward. We all know how great Jordan was, but don't let nobody convince you otherwise, Rodman was the missing piece and the difference.
@@Riles3152 Pfft had Hakeem and Horry not beaten up Rodman from pillar to post these same playoffs to the point at stretches he was refusing to even come off the bench when called upon then the Bulls wouldn't have even gotten him for pennies on the dollar (Will Perdue) in the first place.
Dude, if MJ came back half a year early the resauly would be the same. They had no Horace Grant or Rodman to help against someone like Shaq or Hakeem. The bulls would have not won 8 straight and this series prooves it.
if they were the best how come they couldn't beat a old 6th seed rockets team ? how come they couldn't beat Chicago the following year after they gained all of that experience in the finals? lmao nah they were overrated
@@coreyortiz9913 he was referring to the best team in the franchise's history which is correct. Hakeem was playing outta his mind and Houston was cooking from 3. In 96 they had injuries and the Bulls added Rodman. In both years they lost to teams led by all time great superstars.
@@coreyortiz9913 Shaq spoke out about it, he said that he didn't take it seriously because he was young and even went to parties right before the finals. He was not in shape nor did he have a mindset as he kind of relaxed too much after beating MJ.
I look back at this series and think about it in its totality of the game i think Jordan was not as rusty as ppl believed he scored 55 on the Knicks who were top 3 in defense that year he aslo destroyed Indiana who would later on push thjs same Orlando team to 7 games in the ECF....If Jordan had 31/6/6 on 49% hr wasn't the problem it was no horace grant ironically snd they lacked interior help so we all saw what happened the next yr with a hall of famer in Horaces spot via Rodman.....i dont look at yhjs is a bad moment in Nba history but a great one showing Jordan as great he was he was also human....from 1988-1998 Jordan only lost 4 times in the post season ti only two teams Detroit 1988-1990 and Orlando 1995 i dont count 1985-1987 seeing Jordan had ni help to be Milwaukee or Boston but anyways
Jordan didn’t need Rodman! You Know damn well he would have found way without a Rodman! Stop It . There is no one like MJ. He is the best to have played any sport ever
Bron fans never bring up his actual 2011 choke. Jordan lost when his team sucked and he had played just 17 games the regular season, Bron built a super team in his prime and got babied by jj barea. Lol 😂 Bron fans are delusional
Please, more videos of jordan, if possible from 96 onwards, that jordan fits me, and what I like the most is the quality of the video, something like this is not achieved on the internet with as much definition as those of your channel, of course thanks .
This shows that the Bulls were done and they never would've won the next three championships without Dennis Rodman. There wouldn't be this overglorification of Jordan without Dennis Rodman.
Jordan came back with 17 games left in the season after two years off. They were 34-31 before Jordan came back, finished the season 47-35. That right there tells you everything.
Chicago bulls centers were always so weak I never could get it. Longley Cartwright Perdue I’d rather of started Stacey King or Scott Williams at center then them
They literally had no power forward in 1995. Toni was a stretch 4 or really a tall 3. They were shopping all off season for a big. Rodman actually wasn’t their first choice. They wanted Jayson Williams but he resigned with the nets. There were a couple others too. Can’t remember. Rodman was a “reach” cuz he was an absolute cancer in San Antonio, Davis Robinson and Greg Popovich practically gave him away. MJ and Phil were able to keep him under control, rest is history.
Yeah not like Rodman woulda helped this year. He was too busy getting stomped on like a hammer to a thumbtack by Hakeem to help anyone. He got abused so badly he refused to come back on the floor after one of his losses. 😂.
This was amazing to watch when i was a kid. The magic was my fav team because of penny and shaq. Im sad things happened the way they did but if this team stayed healthy and together for 4 more years, they would've taken that bulls 3 peat chances away. Rodman or not.
@@FuShengAlex noooo, unfortunately not playing for 21 months was too much even for MJ to overcome so, Houston didn’t get to play em ….that 90s Houston unit made it there twice, that’s it. You were probably a still a stain on your dads underwear when this era was goin on.
The bulls should have and could have one that. The magic one that series by the skin of their teeth. You all know what happens the next year . Sweeeeep with a large broom
@Jermaine Durham your bulls had a dennis rodman and that magic team lost their power forward horace grant to injury. It was an easy win for the bulls at that point.
They beat them in 6 games. It didn't even go to 7th game because they went ahead and eliminated Jordan and the Bulls on there home court. Yes it was a tough series but the Magic were clearly the better team overall. The biggest reason they swept Orlando the following year was the impact of Rodman. Jordan's numbers in the 96 series were really not much better than this 95 series. The Bulls just had NO answer for young Shaq. Enter Dennis Rodman, who did about as good a job guarding prime Shaquille in that series, as anyone ever did.
@@omar9987 Skip Bayless is just a troll. I thought it was impressive the Lebron even got them to the finals. The fact that Lebron lead the Cavs to the title against the Warriors in 2016 was even more impressive. He’s going to to go down as one of the greats. But when it comes to a debate between Jordan and Lebron, I think Lebron was more skilled but Jordan was more admired and respected. I mean even at freaken Cleveland for the celebration of the 75th year of the NBA at the All Star game, the biggest crowd pop by far was for Jordan even though he tortured those fans for years. But for Lebron, it goes to show no matter how great you are, when you keep choosing the path of least resistance it’s tough for people to take you seriously when you want to be known as the greatest ever.
95 jordan was still a great player but he wasnt the same guy that he was in 93, he couldnt close out games in the 4th quarter consistiently anymore cause of fatigue, lost some of his athleticism and his basketball instincts wherent as sharp either. He changed his game during the 2nd 3 peat to rely on his jumper and not attack the basket like in his younger years. I believe if he played that whole 95 season he would have done better in this matchup.
Yeah blah blah. Chicago lost to a team that matched up well against them. Orlando with superior Sgaq was above Ewing and those bricklayers he and Chicago were used to bullying before he retired.
Oh wait, I thought Jordan's record on the finals after Pippen joined the crews was 6/6. So that number excludes the time when they didn't even make it to the finals? 🤯🤯🤯
Jordan came back in the playoffs. He didn't play full season. That's when he came back wearing the 45 and switched back to 23 cause he ain't come to play game with you, he trying to aim at you (Jay Z) Jordan , Jackson ,Tyson any Mike🤣🤣🤣 The mofo 90s🔥🔥🔥Man it was fun time. Peace
Y’all need to know that Horace Grant REALLY fked up by gloating that much. The next year’s 72-10 bulls team DESTROYED them. Jordan had the team playing like it was game 7 ALL SEASON LONG 💯
Houston ended the best healthy version of Orlando. Chicago beat a injury hit Orlando team the following year with horace only playing 28 total minutes. .
The bulls relied too much on Jordan here, he was just coming back from a 2 year absence and kukoc and longley cant even get a fucking rebound. And i think they would have lost to that rockets team even if they reached the finals.
please tell me why why did the pacers lose 4-3 and bulls 4-2 in the 1995 playoffs to the magic because superstar did does and will describe reggie miller while legend did does and will describe shaquille o'neal and michael jordan
@@WarriorVinyard it’s crazy because the narrative that is/was spun to me was that Jordan was perfect in playoff performances and did not loose. I’m just surprised that this was never highlighted or pointed out to me.
@@WontonSlim it's not highlighted because everyone understands that it's a loss with an asterisk. He was away from the NBA for 2 years, playing baseball. He came back at the tail end of the 94-95 season, playing only 17 reg season games, before the playoffs. It goes without saying that he was a little rusty as he's been away from the game for 2 years.
The most forgotten series in nba history. I've never heard it being mentioned on any show. Of course, as it would spoil the myth of MJ being unbeatable in the playoffs, God forbid. At least sometimes they mention the Bulls being battered several times by the Pistons in the 80's, with the excuse that Pippen wasn't yet that good as a number two...
They say unbeaten in the FINALS not playoffs.how was he unbeaten in the playoffs when they got two three peats in seven years has to be a loss somewhere
And where the hell is the pick play where Nick Anderson stripped MJ and tossed it up to Grant for the dunk? It was late and the bulls were down by like 1 point 🤔 edit yea it was game 1 😡
