NBA Legends Explain how SCARY GOOD Charles Barkley Was (Jordan, Shaq, Magic..)

Charles Barkley was hands down one of the best Power Forwards in NBA history. He was such a phenomenal athlete in an awkward body frame. A trully odd and unique athlete. Dribbled like a point guard, size of a shooting guard, rebounded like a center. He doesn't get the credit he deserves!

While he won his only NBA MVP his first season in Phoenix and that was his only Finals. You're right, his best individual years were in Philly. Chuck would have got his ring, if he arrived one year early. Dr J & Moses were getting older and that last chip, sorta emptied their tank. I just started watching ball as a kid with my dad in the early 80s. Charles is definitely one of the best PFs ever. The way he played in the 1993 Finals was incredible. The box out is actually about, strength, speed, endurance, techniques and mentality, people can jump as much and as high as they can but if you can make sure your opponents can't get close to the landing area of the ball or force them to stay on the ground so they can't jump, then you win it, but as i said " endurance " isn't something that everyone has and by " endurance " not just a normal athlete's endurance but superhuman 's endurance, you could see how Rodman or Barkley's rebound, mostly is

Moses Malone was a huge influence on Hakeem Olujawon. MJ, Hakeem and Chuck were the 3 best players in the 1984 draft and Moses mentored 2 of 3. Those Houston pickup runs against Moses were basically gladiator school for young Hakeem, while at Univ of Houston. Hakeem has said this in multiple interviews. Those runs against Moses and his big man mentoring, really took his game and mindset to the next level. He said Moses would push him so hard sometimes, he would contemplate quitting, but he stuck in there.

I think Mike dissed Chuck so much because he knew how good Chuck really was. Barkley is often referred to as one of the most efficient scorers of all-time… don’t tell me Mike doesn’t take that personally. And Barkley was that good without really working hard or taking care of himself.

Without a doubt Charles Barkley was one of the most incredible people I have ever meet. I ran a bar in Milwaukee Wisconsin And had the pleasure of having him frequent it many many times. I have so many great stories as bout the man. He used to make my face hurt from Laughing so hard hanging with him. I will always look at him as a person that if you spend any amount of time with him. You will respect and feel blessed to have spend time with him

He wore the weight so well that you couldn't tell. But, it was pro ball, and er'body was close to track stars I tell you what. We all know what Charles deals with from his HOF friends, but the respect flows, and mostly they know that he knows that he was great. A phenom, especially for his size. Thanks to Moses Malone keeping it real, going excitingly right.

It's crazy the amount of money they paid back then for guys who played harder in worse conditions as far as penalties were concerned. Barkley got 2 million for 4 years. Guys who sit on the bench and never play get a million for 1 season in today's game. Lol, I love Ernie in this segment

Barkley is one of my favorite player back then! He's unstoppable in open court when he mount that rebound, get out of your way coz his going at it and will destroy you if your in his way! An undersize four with a stoke from deep and will bully you down in the post! 👊👊👊

People need to remember Charles playing at 6 foot 36 foot four during a time that it was the most physical ever, and it was also a league that was ran by centers that all stood 7 foot taller, and the majority of the centers are in the Hall of Fame because of how good they were and Charles still dominated the shit out of them
