Hi and thank you. I was a policeman in east RP for 13 years. Watching this reminded me of my years patrolling the streets there. I am still able to recognize intersections and can call out street names and problematic addresses from memory. Not bad considering I left there in 1990. IMO one of the friendliest and beautiful neighborhoods in the city. w
I lived in Rogers Park from 1964 to 1969. You drove right past our apartment building on the corner of Sheridan Road and Columbia across from the old 400 Theater. Ah, those were the days!
@@panicfilms The whole area around the Loyola ‘L’ station at Loyola and Sheridan is radically different. Much of Sheridan Road from North Shore south has also changed greatly, but it looks good. The last time I was there was in late 1992. I was shocked at how bad Howard St. was. It looked like a slum.
@@guymontag349 It' a beautiful neighborhood with outstanding architecture and a very diverse population. But the crime is terrible. Driving down Howard St. is taking your life into your hands. I've had bullets flying by me in broad daylight. I lived there for about 12 years and still live a couple miles away from Rogers Park.
