I met the entire band in January of 1985 at a concert at Indiana University. I was working for the University P.D. then and I was backstage. Everyone in the band shook my hand and talked to me and autographed an album I brought backstage. I talked to Lee Loughnane for about 10 minutes after the show. They were very gracious and polite. However, as Walt Parazaider commented, "He has big gun so you better give him an autograph".
real live musicians who write , play and sing their own original music and who have always been committed to excellence as performers , gifted people who found their true passion for life! Must see them once in your lifetime- so much more meaning to their music & lyrics than just making money , genuine musicians
These guys (except Robert) are all from Chicago (like me!). And so many people here are just like them. Especially Walt, Jimmy and Lee. Those three have the look and the Chicago accents as well. Terry, Danny, and Peter did as well. It's a midwestern thing. Robert grew up in Brooklyn originally so he's a little different than the other 6. But you don't stay in a band for 50 years if you don't really care about one another and certainly not on the road like they have been. Those four guys remain brothers. Terry was the glue, and he would have been right with them (and probably Danny and Peter had Terry lived).
Just you and me.... Call on me...... Beginnings..No tell lover. Saturday in the Park. Definitely one of my top songs also. Please don't go. I love Roberts voice when I heard Saturday in the Park. Growing up on the Gulf in Mobile. That song the 4th of July what some great times. Beginnings also. I really really didn't appreciate Peter like I should of. I was very young on voices you know around 12 to 18 years of age with the songs. Cetera was the power Ballard voice at all ranges and now at 58 I know this for certain. Just you and me I try to sing it... Alone. 😆. Love Cetera's range man. Please don't go. Wow. And Call on me. Can't hit those highs at all. Peter you're a classic powerful great singer. And everyone of the songwriter members together you guys made that art not only to hear but to see. Beginnings to Very last of the 70s was my best times hearing the sound of Chicago 🎶. "When I kiss you. I feel a thousand different feelings. The color of chills all over my bodyyyy heyy. 🎶
The grandest musicians in the industry... I love to know what they put in their coffee and their meals to give them the sustenance to maintain life on the road
I can tell they are in Texas, with a freezer full of Blue Bell. Jimmy loves Cherry Vanilla ! On the down side, you can't get to heaven without going through DFW airport......
Yeah, I wish I could agree Sue, but sadly there are two people missing (not including Terry Kath) that were supposed to be their brothers. They’ve done well but the sackings of Danny and not compromising with or sacking Peter were 2 low points. I believe both scenarios were avoidable. Peter will always remain “the voice” of Chicago and the one that made them world famous, but by his own words... they sacked him. I’m glad they’re friends but they did do the dirty on two others.
Lamm and Pankow are in the songwriters Halk of Fame, and Lamm pretty much put the group on the map by himself. Cetera was good at writing ballad type stuff.
Interview s členmi skupiny CHICAGO v cestovnom autobuse.....pôvodná štvorica Walter Parazaider, Lee Loughnane, James Pankow a Robert Lamm v poradí v akom sa objavili v skupine The Missing Links, neskôr Big Thing, potom Chicago Transit Authority a napokon CHICAGO......založená vo februari 1967 v Chicagu
That’s right - in other interviews, they were treated as the ‘new ‘ kids even though they were in the band for years - reminds me of a high school clique! Watch some of the older videos, seemed like they treated Peter Cetera the same way as he wasn’t one of the original members when they originally formed ‘The Next Big Thing’. I can see why Peter wanted to go on his own...so yes, very sad 😞. They need to put on their ‘big boy pants ‘, get together - all members from the very first to the last, and put on one fantastic show!!!
Is Jimmy Pankow the only one with gray hair? No wonder guys like me don't realize hiw old they must be... I've been listening to them since high school...
This guy goes in and wants to know about the bus!!!! WTF!!!!!! Lamm's face about dropped!!! Interview the band...Like your supposed too!!!!! FOOL!!!!!!
