I am an old-timer who grew up in Chicago and was one of the First Customers at the Chicago Pizza Oven and Grinder Co. I ran across this video today and it brought back fond memories of attending De Paul University in the late 60s. The crew spent a lot of time Bar hopping in the Lincoln Park area and I will never forget when the Grinder opened up and we stood in line for about an hour to get into their restaurant. It was Love at first bite. Unfortunately, it's been over 20 years since I have been back and now I will have to try making the Grinderb in my kitchen. Thank you so much for your video.
I just found your channel early this morning and you have instantly become my favorite chef 👨🏾🍳 Just Subscribed. Thank You for this recipe! I just saw a pizza pot pie and later your video popped up. I really need to make a pizza pot pie 🍕🥧
You Profile Pictures reminds me 90s Caribbean cricket fan, enjoying beer watching Legends like Walsh and Ambrose bowl and The Great Lara bat... 👍 Cool video.
Left Chicago in 1992. Live in the South. Went to this restaurant about 15 years ago. I've, always, said I could make it better. Now I'm convinced. People here think "Chicago Pizza" is deep dish only. My family argues the point. We're up with thin crust pizza, always cut in squares. Chicago Pizza is the best.
Only thing I'd do different is make the butter be garlic butter. Never been to Chicago. Live in Western Canada. Gonna make this with garlic butter. Looks Yummy!
I saw this pizza pot pie on yt in the last year. Love your video. I learned a new food mix. You soundc like a professional chef. Sort of jaques pepin style.
I've been wanting to.make this dish ever since I first saw it on the Foodnetwork years ago. I was watching the video and ran across your channel today. I was born and raised in Milwaukee WI Chicago is my second home you all have the best food scene.
Have you ever had Bari's Giardinara? That is the best I have ever had. Their Italian subs are the best I have has as well. Next time you are in the city, you have to check this little deli out!
