Chicago's famed Maxwell Street Market returns 

I can remember when my Dad would take me to Maxwell Street in the 80s there was Chicago Blues playing live steel garage cans burning fires and the smell of Maxwell Street pork chop sandwiches, polishes, hot dogs and hamburgers and all kinds of goods being sold at a price people could afford. Man I miss those days...

I went there in the 80's and I loved getting Maxwell street cheeseburgers. So glad they are back.

All the permits make it undesirable.

The 60's was great there and it was still pretty big . It went 5 streets wide and 4 blocks south

As a native Chicagoan I grew up shopping on Maxwell Street with my family. Parents & 2 older brothers. Graduated from Lane Tech 1963.

I went to maxwell street market today it’s fun but a bit on the small side I bought toy cars and iPhones that were outdated
