The wings are my favorite. Fried or boiled. That's the first thing I go for on a rotessirie chicken. Soup looks amazing. Me and my husband are soup eaters. Have a blessed Sunday.
Yummy 😋 great idea not to cook the rice in the soup don’t know why I never thought of that that old saying you learn something new everyday is true lol and those fire crackers look delicious also. Take care ❤️
NOTHING LIKE GOOD OLD HOMEMADE SOUPS , IM A SOUP GIRL , HI LESLIE , HOW ARE YOU SWEETHEART , HOPE EVERYTHING IS GREAT WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY , LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS , SENDING BLESSINGS 🙏❤🙏
Girl, you are the cutest thing. Your hubby loves you and it shows!! I love your cooking and your videos!!! God bless you sweetie. Thanks again for sharing your chicken and rice soup. Yes, it's fall. I'm sorry, I like spring and summer. I agree with you about the chicken breast, I like the white meat!! You make my day!! I wish I could hear your hubby preach. We've not gone back to church yet. My hubby has allot of health problems and I don't need him getting sick, but my preacher just started getting his sermons on our church's web site. I miss being there cause I a Sunday School teacher and I also play guitar for our services. My hubby was playing the drums at church, but with his health problems now, he has no busy up front I the drums. He can't walk up the stairs, much less get on those drums. He misses it alot and I miss him playing them too. I sorry,I didn't mean to r rattle on. God bless y'all!!!!!
Just from your beautiful thumbnail I had to go put together a pot of chicken and rice soup. I cheated and used home canned broth, chicken and celery and only made a small pot. I normally strain off the broth after our meal and store it separately when there are leftovers so it doesn't get gummy. Thank you for the great idea, it was perfect for a chilly end to a lovely day.
Oh! I love the idea of adding a can of cream of chicken soup to it! I just happen to be slow cooking a chicken this very night for soup tomorrow, so I can't wait to try this! It must have been such a blessing to Caroline to enjoy her Mama's famous soup! Hope she and baby Levi are both doing well : )
Love homemade chicken soup of any kind and yours looks delicious. I usually make mine in a crock pot, which is how I make my broth too. For added flavor have you thought about cooking the rice in broth, instead of water? Now I’m hungry.
Looks amazing... I'm with your daughter, it's my favorite too! Although I do also enjoy chicken and barley. For anyone who wants to be a stickler and they don't want to add canned soup, you could always thicken it with a little bechamel sauce, like you use to thicken mac and cheese and lots of things. Personally, I would just use the canned soup, as I am not a stickler!😉
This soup looks good. I would add veggies to mine. When you said you made fire crackers, I thought you meant explosives. I couldn't figure out why you made fireworks in September.
An alternate way to cook rice. Put uncooked rice in dry pan ant cook it until it smells like toasy nuts then cook rice like you usually do. I love the nutty undertones in my soups.
If you rinse your rice before cooking it, it is less gummy...just pour the desired amount of dry rice in a strainer and run under cold water then add to pot and cook as usual.
