GK80钢盔 is a Chinese steel combat helmet first developed in the late 1960s and was later adopted as the standard combat helmet of the PLA in 1980. I will finish this PLA 70's project very soon so i could move on and work on other things.
I know this video is really short and may not be as informative since i don't really say anything about it much but it's pretty self explanatory and i'll be sure to have more stuff to say in next review. but enjoy this short showcase for now.
That's Cool. If you decide to get it you might wanna add the chin strap yourself. But if it's not really in a good and usable condition then look for a repro on Taobao.
Thanks, If you could get it for a good price,i wouldn't say no but it's up to you if you wanna start collecting some Chinese gears. Just be sure to do a lot of research before buying, trust me,i learned that the hard way.
@@YungRiceLilField I use third party buying agents to navigate Taobao. Takes awhile and the tarrifs and shipping costs have skyrocketed, but still cheaper and easier than hoping you don't get an overpriced one on ebay. I got a bunch of modern PLA gear for my own personal shtf use. My OCPs are for work only, so I can't use that. This stuff foots the bill.
Forgot to talk about that in the video but like any other steel helmet,It was use as a head protection from thing like shell fragments, shrapnel bullets, pieces of rock and so on but not bulletproof and it could be a camoflage in one way or another when using it with the helmet cover.
