Good part is the average Joe won't build a ctsv because it's not cheap to build. I'm guessing you have 15k just in front and rear suspension. People won't do these because they can build a fox for 3k and have the same numbers. Good to see someone else building something other then a fox.

If u been in the streets and have built more than 1 car u can see everything u guys do is well thought out. That's why I follow Chief cause he's smart and analytical in his building and tuning process. He's not afraid to ask questions and thinks outside the box. That's how shit is learned. I remember seeing him at the track with Shawn before the show and thats y they were so successful

Chief I'm totally with you on the motor placement. I have noticed the same thing ....where the Big tire shakes, the small tire spins. IMO, Essentially, they are the sameish harmonics through the chassis. I'm very interested to see what you learn through this. Thank you for sharing guys!

That weight bias,without dicking with spring rates or tire diameter or anything whatsoever is f***in amazing. Still plenty of adjustability in any direction you need to go to make the chassis work whenever you need it. I’m floored by the total weight,she asked for your guess and I kept waiting. You showed the screen on camera and I automatically was trying to see the arms on the lift. I’m used to these old heavy muscle cars and never really thought about how much thinner sheet metal is on cars now and that they just stamp more bends and curves in the bodies to get their rigidity. Congrats on the kickass car and having luck going your way for all of these things to be working so well in your favor.

Jacky is very impressive with her knowledge of car set up and drag racing in general. You can definitely tell she grew up in a drag racing family. Great video and you will get the bugs worked out of caddy jack and she will be flying!

My jaw bounced off the floor when Jackie gave the weight splits front to back and I had pick my Chiclets and stick them back in my yap when I saw how light the Caddy was and there is still weight to take out of the car like door panels which are pretty heavy in a Caddy as well as door bars rear and side glass never mind hanging glass or fiber doors, fenders, hood, chrome moly core support and frame extensions (frame forward of the strut towers or rack mounts)

You bring up the C8 a lot and it being mid engine, that weight distribution is why mid-engine cars are fast and nimble. A prime example of that is the McLaren 765LT which can drag most small tire drag cars anywhere

I enjoy hearing all the hidden tech talk, and the way you to feed off of each others thoughts and ideas, I wish i was as knowledgeable as Queen Jackie is, bc my fiance is about like Chief but with a Kamikazi outlook on everything. But hey Chief keep Jackie around forever if she's been a ride and die this long, as well as learning and getting to know everything about all your cars and hers, that means shes a definite keeper, bc she's going out of her way to learn and be extremely knowledgeable especially with how in depth we all know you can go with your cars, and she keeps up, I'm slowly learning everything, Thank you Jackie for showing that girls like us, that support our significant other, can and will learn the ins and outs of cars in general. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the mid plate to axle distance. I'd be curious if you've looked at the mid-plate to axle distance as a ratio to wheelbase. Obviously promod has a limit, but for street stuff... The thing most guys don't understand is that the anti squat and weight placement/motor placement is changing the moment of inertia. And that the antisquat functions because of that moment. So getting that moment, IE dynamic ability to throw the weight back is huge. I've done a lot of moment of inertia studying on similar complex rotating bodies and it's incredible how people pick up on it here and there. The people who are most successful seem to be using one of a few combinations, all following the same sort of laws physics sets up. The effect on increasing or decreasing that moment to the rear end is different for every weight placement. Weight up high or low... forward back... All change not only how easily or quickly the car loads up on the rear end, but it changes how the car will allow the weight to go back forward... So sometimes things that help the car get that initial bite really hard (like high weight placement) will come back and unsettle the car much more violently (in terms of upsetting the suspension) than getting a similar behavior with front to rear weight change. Love that stuff. Thanks for putting in your two cents

12" crank center height with a 80" motor plate to axle center. I'm gonna make my s10's tail shaft "meat" the back of the cab or further.

Probably the easiest way to explain what Chief was talking about with the drive shafts is to look at the difference between a top fuel dragster and a funnycar, funnycar is slower because they have the long drive shaft where the dragster basically connects the transmission right to the rear.

Jackie you talked about going to a race and the person you race has a fox body Mustang with an LS , the only way for a Mustang to be real fast is to put a CHEVY in it that's why there is a lot stuff available to do it for years

Smaller tire (break/spin) vs bigger tire shake can be helped with tire pressure and or shock settings? have learned that a shake can be removed ( within 60' ) with added tire pressure and will help mph but, shock will have to be adjusted on rebound to make this happen? open to critics btw. just trying to understand a little more...../ 33.5 tested and showed gains in mph and 60, with a lazy rebound (tire is a spring ) #lighthotrod@Jakie&Chief

I can’t believe u guys got that car that light. And with an almost perfect 50/50 weight ratio without fluids and the driver, the sky’s the limit on how u can set the car up with ballast (if u even need it lol) I can’t wait to see u guys running that car on back of track races and street races.
