Yall are overreacting, he isn't leaving. He is stepping back to a recurring role, he isn't leaving the show.

He may as well look At Donna she has been gone almost years but they bought her back for the last esepoide. No good. But they managed to keep on bringing Casey back for nothing.casey left that whole show, Three years ago, they could have let Casey stay gone, they had to pay him but they are leaving some of the real cast off because of budget cuts.

@@carolynelston5936you have to let it go about Casey. He is probably gone for good. You just make yourself upset about Brett and Casey, they are gone. They brought him back for fans a few times to take the place when Taylor was gone. But as Severide said this time it feels permanent. Eamonn wanted to step back from the show and appear less often than he would be as a regular cast member. The show will go on, we will find new people to like and enjoy just as we have for over 12 seasons. Plus we still have Hermann, Mouch, Severide, Cruz, Capp, Tony, Ritter, Violet and Kidd. Boden on occasion as well.

@@gailfirenze3606 no that is not true they bought Casey back even though Kelly was there,. and they did have some of the main cast to be off the show it was said due to budget cuts, but Casey was on the show and he is not a cast anymore. They had to pay casey.i hope that he is gone for good, Brett also. There's no way I the world I would get upset about Casey in nothing., now some time I do get about my Kelly the way the writers do him, almost every body at work do I am tired of them messing with him and Stella, let Kelly have some peace and happiness sometimes.but I will stay upset for a while,then, I will stop looking at the picture, and I read that it was Andrea Newman who wanted to let Chief boden go . Just like how she got rid of Flynn, but sometimes it be lies and some truth. So you have a good one.

This loss is terrible.! Loosing such good actor is not good for the show. My God! No other good chief like Biden! ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😮😮😢😢😢im glad he will still appear sometime but when he stops appearing oh my! 😢😢😢😢

It won't be the same without severide, Boden and everyone leaving ,severide is my favorite,, I. Don't like when severide moreless sleeps around,, or when he investigates he's a firefighter let the investigators do their jobs I didn't like when he left Stella and severide didn't come back for awhile 😒 😕
