The rap scene was just, PERFECTION! So many creative animation cuts and transitions! They even extended it into not just 1 song but multiple songs! It felt like watching a musical. I want to thank everyone from A-1 studios, the voice actors, and especially the mangaka Aka Akasaka..I hope that isn't the last season...
Out of all manga I have read, no mangaka has ever made a story which truly felt hip with the kids like Aka Akasaka does. He incorporates stuff like this and other aspects of modern teenage life into his story so well and so accurately, especially later in the series. The anime also is phenomenal in both how it adapts those aspects of the story but also how it incorporates references and little easter eggs from other things in every small part of the show.
Yeah if they're going to keep pace with the manga, I do believe we will have 1 more season after this. If they reallllly stretch it out they could get maybe 2 seasons. Plus I guarantee you the sales this show is bringing in is stupidly high. So long as the sales are good they'll keep it going.
@@Michaelonyoutub I agree, literally anything he makes hits like a truck. But the fact that A-1 Pictures was able to alleviate the manga through this adaptation is even more insane. Everyone would've been content if they just adapted the manga accurately, panel to panel, with consistent good visuals. But no, they decided to go even further beyond from the get go. Truly a match made in heaven, aka akasaka and A-1 Pictures
nah there's definitely a few seasons left. the anime has only adapted 110 chapters or something so far, while the manga is still ongoing at chapter 261
@@jeremias-serus I mean I'm pretty sure it's super common for people to learn more than one Language in Japan. English is commonly one of the ones taught, that's why in a lot of Japanese music you'll hear random English words placed in it.
@@Doritochi no japan is actually one of the least proficient countries when it comes to english. they do tend to pick up other (usually asian) languages but not english. and those japanese songs with english words is for western audiences not for them.
@@Doritochi of course japanese people know what fuck and motherfucker mean, but if you're trying to say that japanese people commonly speak enligsh, I'm afraid you're wrong. Though english is commonly taught, its hardly needed in common japanese life and therefore people dont use it and hardly know the language. Eventhough they're taught in it.
For the *rap battle aftermath* in the manga, is a scene where Kaguya and Hayasaka make up more so after. Hayasaka said she doesn't have romantic feelings for the president and tells Kaguya to hurry up with making the president fall for her, and said same thing shown in anime to tease her about saying friendship is first step towards a relationship. In which Kaguya comments on her sadism as a response. Kaguya is shown more considerate to Hayasaka to hire more help in the house to alleviate her more with work (ch 108).
really hope they show that bc i feel like this episode's only flaw is that we didnt get to see hayasaka and kaguya talk about what hayasaka rapped about
That ending is by far one of the best endings in all of anime. The dedication is amazing. They really changed the ending for this episode. The animation, art style, music, and rapping were all crazy.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: MC Miyuki has been the greatest gift to hip hop since Hachiman Hikigaya's legendary freestyle rap battle in 2020
I honestly didn’t know how they would animate the rap confession from the manga, but they knocked it out of the park! I just love how much extra they went with everything, and I especially loved when they used the fish lens view during parts of the rap, it was very reminiscent of 90s rap music videos. Shoutout to that special ED as well! The dude that animated it killed it!
10/10, best episode of the show by far. That Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody refrence while Kaguya was singing was awesome. They really went wild for this ep ❤🔥
Fun Fact: At the end when Shirogane said, “Yes. My man” to Hayasaka, in the manga he said, “Balling.” Kinda sad that they left it out, but this episode was still amazing
Not gonna lie, this is the episode I’ve been most excited for since this season began. I’ve been waiting years to see this animated and it exceeded my expectations.
I think you guys nailed what makes this show so special. The sheer amount of love and effort put into it by the VAs, animators, and everyone else elevates what I assume to be a very good manga to an absolutely fantastic show.
Yeah. I thought it was positively bonkers how Miyuki has to teach Chika first so she can teach him. It's hysterical. But I think it makes sense: Chika's a renowned music prodigy. Aside from having what may be perfect pitch and rhythm, she can probably gleam certain truths and concepts from the rap genre in a way Miyuki can't. Miyuki's good at studying and getting through the core concepts so he can probably teach Chika the fundamentals which she can build upon in her own time. And because of this she can outperform Miyuki (who is ass at most everything) in a matter of days. Once she gets there, she teaches him her insight into the subject...to her misery and our amusement.
Personally I’m kinda hating kaguya in this season, she gets so jealous to hayasaka for something that she sent her to do, and on top of that hayasaka is a fking teenager, she can’t enjoy her life bc of kaguya’s selfishness, and kaguya even dared to roast her for what she ordered her to do!!! It’s not hayasaka’s fault that the president wants to spend time with her or talk to her, kaguya gets so mad bc of that when she doesn’t even have the guts to talk to the president, I would love to see hayasaka and the president together but, we all know that that’s not gonna happen, unfortunately
Apparently they left out the two (Kaguya and Hayasaka) making up when they go back home in the manga. Like they have a full discussion about Hayasaka's feelings. Would have been cool to see
@@brandonart267 that’s what I mean bro, hayasaka was doing her job, but kaguya got mad bc of it, kaguya was roasting hayasaka for the work she order her to do, that’s unfair, I mean if your boss sent you to do something, and you did it as ordered, wouldn’t you get mad if your boss roasted you bc of doing the job he ordered you to do?
I agree with you guys about how this is one of the few animes where everything just seems to get better and better with each new season. I honestly thought that the rap scenes would get toned down for the anime, but the absolute madlads seriously went ALL OUT and I love it.
The anime would be much longer and maybe more enjoyable if they adapt all the chapters of the manga . Like we could just take our time from our mcs and see side characters side storys . İ would have 0 problems with watching 24 episodes in one season of this show
Honestly, I have nothing against the Maki part, but that rap was so damn good that it should've capped off the episode. I forgot there was still more when I first watched this lol And do I have to say anything about the ED? It is fucking FIRE
This episode was special, thanks to the show always being random, not afraid of cringe, not taking itself too seriously. Man, you can tell they put work into this episode ;D
Fun fact the Dub when Chika first listen to pres rap. It was the same assault of nonsense thrn he eneded it by saying mom's spaghetti. 😂 he was literally rapping to Eminem lose yourself😂😂
im p sure its been mentioned already but all the scenes from hayasaka’s verse were the notable schemes shes done throughout the show so far (the spy intro from the first episode of S2, her disguise as kaguya from the finale of S1, her first disguise as herthaka at the library in S2, and the most recent herthaka disguise from the karaoke episode)

This episode is literally by far my favorite along with the volleyball episode At first I thought S3 is gonna be kinda boring cause I already read the manga But Nah this episode exceed my expectations
Clearly Chika is addicted to "ultimate teacher" endorphins. This is just like the Chika dance episode ending, The animators decided to raise the bar and flex again. Now you will need a whole crew to do the live action reenactment.
Well fair enough I mean Imagine someone invited you to ask for your help then just few moments later they act like you are invisible and just started making out like wtf? Why did you even ask for my help
