This! All that’s required of them is making the kids that’s it. I just watched a video of a man interviewing fathers and most if not all didn’t know their kids birthdays, ages, schools, eye colour etc.. it’s deplorable, yet women who don’t want kids are the villain.

There are also plenty of people who had a legacy within themselves in their own inventions and creativity who had children, yet nobody knows their children. Still, they remember the person who actually left the legacy. There is a 50/50 chance a child will continue in their parent's legacy. And the parent has to leave something of value (name, rights, wealth, invention, creative art, etc) for that child to carry on.
The entire premise is stupid. Wanting or not wanting children is a compatibility issue. So if a man wants kids, any woman who doesn't is automatically incompatible, so who is her not wanting kids a red flag for? Men who also don't want kids? So what are those men supposed to do? Get with women who want kids and waste their time for years because they are viewed as less selfish? That's psychotic!
I remember one time I was stupid and tried dating on Tinder. I struck up a conversation with the man. Of average beauty, not to mention ugly (i.e. weak genes), and later admitted that he suffers from the most severe form of diabetes. Weak genes! And when I wrote that I was and would remain childless by choice, he said that we couldn't be together because he wanted to pass on his genes. Not being a good father. He wants to pass on his rotten genes. Embarrassing.
Your entire life goal shouldn't be to have children. Most people don't know for sure that they can have a healthy child. Even if you are healthy enough your life goals shouldn't depend on someone else because you may not find someone who will do that for you. Lastly I don't expect anyone to live their life for a child they don't have. What are you going to do quit partying, dating, going on spontaneous trips, drinking, playing video games all night, taking medication like methotrexate, etc... because one day you might have children? It's fine to want kids, but don't revolve your life around that. This from someone who has a kid and loves kids. Don't have kids if you don't want them. Don't have kids to check a box. If you want kids, but aren't ready wait until you are. Finally, don't have serious relationships with people who don't want what you want or at the very least are open to it.
The way your first sentence is worded could make it appear that women who want kids are “picked mes”. But I agree with leave child free women alone! 100%. I wish they wouldn’t focus on child free women when child free women don’t think about them! They get obsessive when they don’t have to be!
His mom is still taking care of his adult disabled brother. How could he see that death sentence his mother has, and not understand why many women are apprehensive when it comes to having kids? Quick question. How many children do men birth on average? No one is obligated to procreate to fill the void felt by someone else. These men need to contribute to society and make the world a safer place to for people that ALREADY EXIST!
I really do believe that if men could give birth, they would be changing their tune. 😂 Childbirth is painful, and it’s not something to take lightly. If some women don’t want to experience that, let them be. (I don’t).

I've got kids and if i had all the facts before hand i would have taken a different path. Dont get me wrong. I love my children, now mostly grown, however i endured hell from the father and then kidnapped my child and turned them against me. 4years on.... Im at peace thankfully and im still young as i was forced into that lifestyle at 14 for 17years. From my own personal experience, he got me pregnant to stall my progress in life. I willingly became a mother and poured my heart and soul into my children. Its a thankless job being a full time mother. Especially when you partner with a misogynistic man. He will undermine you the whole way until the kids are on His side. Because Caucasian men see the children as legacy and if you ever leave the relationship, be sure men like this will turn those children against you.
dont they realize that the legacy they're talking about has to come from them and not their kids? a legacy is when people hear your kid's last name and associate it with you right away because of your accomplishments...passing down your last name with nothing attached to it is not a legacy

A little quibbling here. I think he's confusing Legacy with Lineage. Theodore Roosevelt's legacy is his presidency, the National Park system, and a pile of other things. His lineage was his daughter. IF I have kids, they're getting my last name too.

I have kids. I love them. They were the best thing I've ever done in my life. I'm still not going to tell other women they have to also have kids. It's a huge life changing decision. Your mind, body and life will never be the same after you have a child. It's such a commitment and it's no one else's fuking decision expect the individual. I have no idea why some people think they can have an opinion on this life changing choice for others. Like worry about yourself. You can choose to have babies and that's cool but what on earth makes you think you have any say in what other people choose to do? It's baffling.
Children are their own people as well. Imagine reducing children down to what YOU want. This man clearly just sees kids as trophies and not as actual living beings that will need love and support and will grow up to be their own people

Having a child is not a legacy. Legacy is an inheritance, will, property or something that is part of your history that you did like a fondation you opened, a discovery you made, a family business you opened and passed down to several generation. Having a child is about lineage and ancestory. So can we stop misusing the word legacy.

why do people have this obsession with legacy? I don't care about having children or accomlishing something, so that people will remember me. I want to live a fulfilling life in the present. I don't care what happens when I'm dead, because I won't be there to notice anyway.

What is the issue you ask? There were not financially, mentally, or emotionally mature enough to handle the task and it affected the children. I wouldn’t say it’s a “red flag”, but I do think that women without kids that get married more than likely will end up having kids and loving their newfound purpose. I think that the mindset of not wanting kids is a choice that people make while before they find someone they love enough to create a love-child with. Everything changes when you fall in love. You extend your bloodline when you have kids, that was the point he was making when he said, “leave a legacy”… but people just take things and completely run off course with it and then villainize someone because they are triggered because they took a stranger’s opinion personal.
