Here are reasons as to why Ronan was praised more: (in my opinion, at least) 1. Yes, part of the reason is racism. 2. Though other factors are also included. In maths equations, it's impossible to guess what comes ahead, so you can't exactly... answer before the question is finished. 3. Ronan was answering all the Maths questions, which is all concepts & strategy, and much less 'memorization'. While Rahul was answering more of the Orthographic & History-related questions, which mainly include memorization. 4. By this, I assume Ronan is better at understanding concepts, while Rahul is much better at memorizing large amount of information.
Dont get me wrong both boys seem extremely clever, but why wasn’t Rahul getting any applause from the audience when he got a question right? I mean he was getting most of them correct... Hmm.. 🤔🤷♂️
Because Ronan havent even answered any questions. I know ots his fault by raising hands, but sometimes you gotta give applause to others that hasnt even have any support yet.
Wtf thats an unfounded incorrrect statement the video is cut at points after rahul answers you can at times hear the audience beginning to appluad him before it cuts on and the host was just trying to show some support to ronan since he was losing very badly
I can understand the audience because we tend to support the weaker in all competitions but when the host/judge is happier for Ronan and seems neutral for Rahul is a shame.
Ppl who say Rahul's dad is pushy while Ronan parents were having fun and not tense fail to see the clever editing by show producers to drive home the point by showing everytime tense reaction of Rahul's dad when Ronan got it right. Sickening to watch this..

You can see they were not happy with an Indian child like Rahul coming to their country and beating their child in intelligence. But Rahul's a badass and did it with such charm
well he pressed it first there was no cheating the crowd wanted ronan to win why would they cheat him out plus he had a gap when pressing it while rahul had fingers which made him quicker
I think you may have perceived it the wrong way. Rahul practically ran away with every round in the show. Ronan was very much the underdog. Rahul also got a massive round of applause at the end. I think that some people perceive it the wrong way
Rahul was 12 at the time, Ronan was only 9...Three year difference in age. That's why the host says that. Also, Rahul was the favourite, Ronan was the underdog - hence the audience reactions. Everyone expected Rahul to run away with it.

The racism was intense and pure. I love how people clap when roman answer is correct. On the other hand rahul answering before the question still no clap
Watch the whole show, the star kid is Rahul and his parents were very supportive and yes Rahuls family was a team and were competitive and very strategic which gave them a very good edge over the others #veryproud
Everyone says that the audience is racists. But what i see is the negative pressure emitted by Rahul's parents is so strong that the audience are less likely to applause for him. I mean, look at his mom's reaction when he answered one question wrong. Look at how tense his dad is. While Ronan's parents is so relax and forgiving. Rahul is going to grow into an angry child. An angry, genius child.
Not sure if it's necessarily racism that people only applaud for Ronan or because people like cheering for the underdog. If the points were reversed I imagine there'd be cheering for Rahul. But who knows.
People saying video is edited that's why audience clapping for rahul is not included Just keep audience applauding on one side for a moment just look at the face of a judge he smiles when Ronan gives answer and no reaction to Rahul's answers

It's not that deep they're cheering the 'white kid' because he was younger and getting battered silly they were supporting a kid when he's down not everything is racism
I think its more of stereotype than racism. Since Indians are perceived as educational people and very smart. Audience tend to see Rahul answer all questions as normal and nothing out of the ordinary

Good memorisation, good calculating abilities, but nowhere near a genius. Genius = above and beyond current human understanding. In fact, people who are extremely fluent in current human abilities and understanding are the opposite of a genius. For example, ask any of the so called geniuses what is the true relationship between energy and matter and they would be completely "stuck".
