game addiction is quite sever in South Korea. i don''t think the man neglects both of his wife and child because he likes them less, he's addicting to games to the point he is is neglecting his whole life (even at young age) a man like him shouldn't be reasoned by how much you have to love and care for your own family, cause possibly in his mind he already does. video games obsession is the root of his problem they (his family) might want to solve this before anything.

I'm not as frustrated as I thought I would be, it just helps me confirm that I still don't want to have children ever. The big thing in Korea is that when you arrive at a certain age, it's EXPECTED of you to get married and have a kid within the first year/s of marriage. Just how it is there, but that makes it so many people marry and have kids when in reality they're totally not ready or just don't want to. On top of that, add the taboo that is divorce and you have people forcing themselves to stay together and hate each other more and more when they could have ended things on good terms.

When my cousin sister gave birth to twins they automatically became the first priority. Everyone, incuding my brother in law, aunts, uncles, grandparents would divide time among themselves to go help. Whoever was available in the area was a babysitter. My brother in law worked in a different area and he used to come by flight, now he takes trains, most of the expense go for the children, he can take them and carry them around, he feeds them, changes diapers and even cooks. He helps with everything he can and learns to do it from experienced people if he can't. Men who say they should be the priority in a household with a newborn is crazy. They are not men in mentality but boys. Completely immature and not worth marrying. As you can see, they only add to the burden mentally and physically. My brother in law is an only child as well. That's no excuse either. He was raised well.
