Hi Kelly, looking beautiful as always 🥰 Great to see you back with Season 3 and continuing to help spread the word of the importance of working in unison with the educators in getting your children to where they need to be on their journey to being successful adults with successful careers. 🥰 I would like to take this time to say, that although 3 Teachers working within 3 different stages of the child's educational development were present, there's one other Teacher I would've loved to have heard some views from and that is the Parent Teacher; the one's who come in voluntarily to support, not only their own child; by becoming involved with the school, but ALL the children from that class. That person was someone like myself. I committed myself to turning up every morning from 9 - 2pm to work with the children. My duties were to teach the children English comprehension by reading aloud with expression; which I felt would be a great confidence booster and motivator to do their best. My crowning moment, was having managed to succeed in actually teaching 3 children, whose second language was English, to read. (I had taught my own son to read at the age of 2½yrs, as I was preparing him to attend Nursery and thought he was suppose to know how to read before attending 🤭) The joy and delight these children felt when they finally understood how the letters turned into words, then into stories they were then able to comprehend. These children were so greatful to me, as a new World had been opened to them. One of the boys ran around the classroom expressing with joy, 'I CAN READ! I CAN REALLY READ! 😃' I will never forget the impact I, as a Volunteer Parent Teacher, had on these children's lives. It was absolutely game changing to see the results in action like that. The other advantage, is that, as we worked one to one outside of the classroom, these kids often opened up very easily about home life; the difficulties in getting their parents to sit and read with them, study with them talk with them. It was heart breaking to hear. All these children need our support in all capacities. We need to make more of a commitment in being involved in all aspects of their development, holistically, in order to produce an outstanding human being that can contribute to society. Those adults who let those school children down, CHOSE to and those who supported them the children, understood the assignment.
