My child support case started in Ohio where I was threatened to sign the IV-D form. I later moved to Florida and after a while I started receiving letters from Florida telling me they were garnishing my wages for said child support. After a year, I received the document that was sent to Florida regarding Ohio transferring the case. In that notice, what was missing, was an arrearage amount. The first letter from Florida had an arrearage amount. That led to my suspicion that Florida was not following the Interstate jurisdiction law. I then called the Clerk of Courts here in Florida and found out that the case was closed in Ohio before transferring to Florida. What is your opinion on this case? I have never signed any form nor document for the state of Florida!
