I love how coming for childfree people has parents being more honest. "You have no stress." Are you admitting your children are stressful? "You didn't think it through." Well I have a lot of time to do more thinking. Get back to me. "You're rich." Are you saying your kids are draining your funds? Go back to your last assumption about me. It's wild.

Great video guys! 😊 I always have to laugh at the comments by parents on these videos who want to argue and debate. Like this is WHY we have childfree spaces and the point of these videos. Childfree people don’t go argue on mommy blogs and posts which consume about 80% of social media. Lol It’s mind blowing!!! Anyway Keep doing what you’re doing. 🙌

For a lot of heterosexual married couples in India, the woman's in-laws begin mounting pressure on them pretty much from the wedding day itself. I know that many such couples are very firm in their stand, and nothing and no one will be able to sway them from their decision of remaining childfree, and I also know that the average middle-class Indian family set-up is probably very different from what you two have faced. But what I feel really upset about is that this kind of pressure tactics, while fruitless for the in-laws, could prove very harmful for the couples' mental peace. Do you two have any advice on this matter?

I completely understand. I have spoken to many women in India who are going through this but you would also be surprised to know how common this is around the world. The reason we even started The Childfree Connection and why I built my program "Is Childfree For Me? The Essential Guide to Exploring Childfree Life" is because of all the pressure I was facing from family. It was 100% affecting my mental health in a very negative way. Arriving at a place of peace with this lifestyle became crucial for me. I'm so sorry that you are going through this as well. 🧡 Perhaps you should take a look at my program as it's a comprehensive step by step guidance journey to finding the peace we all deserve. www.thechildfreeconnection.com/ischildfreeforme

I definitely think CF people are more mature but I'll give it to parents for (generally) being more responsible. If they are good parents then they likely do have more obligations/responsibilities than the average CF person. But, CF people are mature enough to know that we can't handle and/or don't want those responsibilities and make choices in accordance with that self-awareness. Something many parents can't do.

Appreciate the podcast, insightful. My thoughts, assumptions are made for both child free and parents. I hear a lot, parents have kids to help them when old, when in reality children are a natural stage of life. ♥️ Ultimately, both sides get assumptions.
@TheChildfreeConnection
@TheChildfreeConnection 7 месяцев назад
Of course assumptions exist in both but the point here is to talk about the assumptions made of childfree people, which some parents like yourself do not understand. Saying that children are a natural stage of life proves why the childfree assumptions and judgement exist.

#TheChildfreeConnection I was actually simply sharing my thoughts. Children are a natural stage of life. Obviously the option to opt out is there. But children are a natural stage of life.

@@TheChildfreeConnection Exactly! I find it harmful because once confronted with regretful parents, they will often say "Of course parenting is not for everyone" but repeat the same harmful thing because it's been ingrained through society, literature et al So it's a "It's natural except for those people, but we won't truly explore that because you shouldn't"
@GodSoLoved.Yeshua
@GodSoLoved.Yeshua 7 месяцев назад
@vidhead85 I think you misunderstood my point. There are many if not most adults who need internal healing. My point is children are a natural stage of life. Obviously the option to opt out is there, but children are a natural stage of life.

Every point that you are making is based on a false assumption that kids take all your free time. It’s not like that at all. When you are almost 50 your kids would be over 10 for sure. It’s less work than you think, you are making too much of a big deal out of this.
@raichutoyou
@raichutoyou 7 месяцев назад
Let me help you understand. When you don't want kids, 0.000000000001 seconds of my free time is TOO MUCH. I don't want to wait until I'm 50 to live my life, I want it right now. F them kids. Go have them yourself if you want them so much.😘❤❤

Thank you for your input. However, if you are not a person who has chosen to live a childfree life, it is impossible for you to understand our perspective, our experiences and our point (if you are only viewing this from the lens of a parent). We are speaking to our childfree community and we are making a big deal out of this because it is a big deal-- for the CHILDFREE, not parents. We have spoken to hundreds of people that have been impacted by these assumptions in a very negative way. Our intention is to support and celebrate our community by washing away the stigma and judgement that still exist.

@@TheChildfreeConnection it’s easy understand your perspective as I didn’t have children do 31 years of my life. And yes some of your points make sense but it’s overly exaggerated as you don’t really know what you are talking about. You talk about life with kids that you never experienced. But yes you are allowed to create videos.
@TheChildfreeConnection
@TheChildfreeConnection 7 месяцев назад
@@marynkamary3539 Not having kids for a particular time frame is not the same as living a childfree life. It just means that a person didn't have kids "yet". Your statement is exactly the disconnect here- we are actually talking about life WITHOUT kids.

@@mjesns77 I will surprise you. I give my children a lot of attention. Maybe you will be shocked to know that nursery, school, summer camp, family or even a nanny (if someone want it) exist. Don’t tell me that my children are a handcuff for me for my whole life because it’s simply not true. First few years are most intensive.

Breeders should really mind their business. I still get shit from my sister almost 10 years later after I had my cauterized vasectomy on June 6, 2014 when I was just 23 years old she’s infertile but she has an eight year-old or nine year-old son and one more, but there are so many kids that she can adopt. But keeps questioning my decision, even offering to pay for my vasectomy reversal. I have to look at her like she’s a moron. I think she’s seriously lost her mind and can’t wrap her head around the fact that I don’t want kids even after I had a cauterized vasectomy from almost 10 years. 🙄😂
