"Fascist religious dictatorship" - explain. What do you mean by "religious" since under God's laws Freedom is the highest principle w/i His "Kingdom" or government? I view "religion" as man-made not of God. I find that most individuals use that term as any teaching or individual who seeks God as being "religious". Dictatorships are typically Marxist in nature, not fascist. Mussolini was considered Fascist but followed Marxist or extreme Socialistic ideology. He was not the one bit "religious". There is no Dictator that is religious (by most individual's definition of "religion"). It is an impossibility. The USA has become very Marxist as of late. Marxism is anti-freedom, thus anti-God.

Understand that if the usa was going to become a religious dictatorship it would have been when everyone was following Christianity and were way more closed off to any other. I felt the same when watching this. But I forced myself to watch from begining to the end of 5th season. It was hardcore experience! And I'm waiting for last 6th season.

@@msmam72104americas slaves didn’t live outside. They lived in tiny homes on the same property as the owners. They also got to eat the masters left overs from dinners. That’s how gumbo was made. All the left overs from a masters meal thrown together. They were not used to have children for the masters. The kids they had when they laid with the slaves were seen as mistakes for the most part. (I’m a descendant of one of those unions) They didn’t have birth control. They were not adopted by the main family. This show is no way comparable to americas past slavery tactics.

This is a review of the first series plot - not the movie. I don’t recommend the movie , although Faye Dunaway does play a good Serena.

I think you mean Afghanistan, where after the US left, the war lords & terrorist took over and forbid women to work. Unlike the movie, girls are forbidden to go to school & women can need a male escort to leave the house. However, its better to praise the terrorist & war lords as revolutionaries so it can actually happen here. The trick is get people to forget this has already happen in their life time.

⁠@@reldra a dystopia for the 99% can still be an utopia worth achieving for the 1%. Over the 50 years of watching utopian/dystopian movies I reject the thought that of a warning. It’s more of an announcement what to prepare for. At this point, although dystopian movies are more cleverly made, from an emotional perspective I don’t want to see them that often anymore. Yeah, you may have figured out by now that I am a Roddenberry/ TOS Startrek grandpa kinda guy(Spock flavour).
