For viewers who don't get why that world is the way it is: It's a world without hope, so every little thing turns crazy, violent, and random. People have nothing anchoring them, no purpose.

fantastic movie + reaction! I was blown away by this movie when it came out. I normally hate 'shaky-cam' in movies, but that and long cuts/shots were done well and lends to the feel of the movie. The story, acting, and camerawork are top-tier 👍

I think this film is a metaphor for the existential infertility of our own times more than any kind of prediction of the future, it's about our present
