Chimaira will forever be my favorite band. Nobody comes close, when it comes to matching the energy of Chimaira’s music. I pray for a reunion so I have the privilege to see you guys live, at least once.

Isn't it ironic that for the clip of the song with "the fire's always burning" that the set caught on fire. Man, the energy must have been insane for the 2017 re-union tour!.

While I have been privileged to see some cool bands live, they were mostly bands I know but don't listen to all the time. You guys were the first of my favorite bands I got to experience when you guys came to Dubai.

I miss this time period so much it's hard to express just how much. I miss Uranium and the host. I miss Headbangers Ball. Hearing Down Again hits hard. Is it just me or do most people long for the old days? Ozzfest. I saw Chimaira at Rockstar Mayhem Festival and the crowd was so Incredibly welcoming and eager to see Chimaira that I remember very distinctly that Mark was looking out into the crowd and kept saying "wow" as if he was so overwhelmed by the reaction of the crowd. There was an "electric" feeling and everyone felt it. Gosh I miss it so much.

Was jamming this album last night in the shed…TOP volume…I also have a p.a. In the shed with the mains flown…my neighbors love me

I always taped this show, and I remember this segment very well, I was 22 then, I'm 41 now :(

Discovered Chimaira very late in my Metal journey, but this band instantly shot to my top tier of favorites. The cool heavy af riffs and arrangements, the raw unpolished spat in your eye vocals, it just works track after track, album after album. Really hope something can happen again...

Also, having a ticket for a Slayer show when you've never heard of the opening band only to find out it's Chimaira was an awesome feeling. I saw Chimaira, which would become one of my favorite bands, open for Slayer at the House of Blues in New Orleans when I was 18 years old. I remember thinking "There's never been a better choice for an opening band in the history of touring" after seeing Chimaira the first time. I also caught the only pick Kerry King threw that night, and some guy offered me $50 for it on the spot. That pick is somewhere packed up with the rest of my pick collection. I never caught a Rob Arnold pick, unfortunately, but I did catch an Andol's drum stick that unfortunately got lost.

Miss those days so much , simplier times , people were more open mimded , the music was insane with so many GOOD bands coming out and the band that were already established had still such energy and passion .... I really miss Uranium. I used to record every episode. Somewhere I have or had a full recordable DVD full with episodes. I'm glad this one was unearthed. I really miss those days. Uranium and Headbangers Ball were the only ways to really get a good dose of metal from the newer wave coming up. Not like today with social media and RU-vid and whatnot. Good stuff Rob.

A year later, Julia was the Emcee for Voodoo Fest in New Orleans and she was sloppy drunk one night. I remember when she introduced Marilyn Manson, she just about fell off the stage. She must have had a good time doing that. We had a hacked satellite card to watch Much Music and other stations you wouldn't normally be able to get and shortly thereafter Fuse came to be. Those were some interesting times to say the least.

We're so far removed that scene now,but damn I wish things where just slightly different for chimaira.i still have hope,..some,...but I do doubt a chimaira come back happening

Rob - Potential question for a future EYL: I love your and Matt’s guitar tone on The Impossibility of Reason through The Infection. However, the tone on The Infection stands out to me the most. It almost sounds like a lot of modern metal records and has an amazingly huge guitar tone. Anything in particular you guys did differently to capture that tone (which to me sounded much different than the previous three albums)? Ex: Different amps, different mixing techniques, etc.

I enjoyed that Rob. Nice to see an inside of the The Impossibility of reason album. Said something about demo's. Is that demo for the Impossibility album ? or just the first album ? So was "Down again" the only video that was shot for the reunion show or is it out there in full. As I haven't seen it yet.

Any crazy Kerry King or Jeff stories? ALSO, do you still keep in touch with Kerry or anybody from Slayer?

Mark's so funny during interviews, his delivery is so good! I know you've done it all before Rob but do you miss touring?
