My wife walked down the aisle to this at our wedding, it wasn’t meant to get past the acoustic intro but she took ages to walk out and my mate was controlling the music looked at me as if to say “what do I do” as he knew what was coming, I let it run and was head banging at my own wedding in front of 50 odd people as my wife came through the doors and down the aisle. \m/
NO SHIT?! Our wedding party came out to this, my wife walked the aisle to "Big Bear and the Hour of Chaos" by Unearth. Both of which will forever be a HUGE part of our lives. I fucking love this song!
You guys sound really good together. You should start a band, record an album, and tour! Maybe you can name the band something like “Chimaira” or something similar...Just a thought!
When i find out that you guys split up, was the worst day of my Life, i don't know if i was more sad for that or the death of Mitch Lucker, Just to make you understand the level of pain. The greatest band my ears Will EVER ear.
I know how you feel. I got super misty watching this. One of my very first concerts was Chimaira, Ill Nino, Kittie and No One. My first dog was named Chimaira because we couldn't decide on a name and when I was watching videos Down Again came on and she just stopped what she was doing and stared at the monitor. This band will always have a special place in my life for so many reasons and to see half of the classic line up reunite to play hands down my favorite song off IoR was so great to see!
Sometimes I forget that Mark Hunter is an excellent guitarists in his own right. He’s the secret weapon and he added a lot behind the scenes. I really wish they would get back together. Mark, Rob, Matt, Jim, Andols, and Chris are the classic lineup that I enjoyed the most.
The rush of emotions I just got from this..... This took me back to high school in 2003 the very first time I listened to the IoR album in the middle of math class on my Walkman CD player. So happy to see the three of you guys killing it!
With ya brother. Back in 02 03 were some good times jamming out to these guys at are team paintball practices. To Rob A. Keep up the awsome music man. I always look forward to hearing music from ya
Oh man. I'm not crying, YOURE CRYING! Seeing and hearing youse guys together makes me feel so good inside. Thanks for this one brother. Y'all will always be Cleveland's dopest.
God this takes me back man, I remember buying this album along with Unearth’s, The Oncoming Storm and my mother looking at me like a fucking mutant. So many great memories listening to the album Rob, thank you for all of the truly great music. God I miss Chimaira. 🖤🤘
Rob Arnold we absolutely have man! Haha 🤣🤘. Love your channel dude. I’ve also been trying to learn the acoustic intro on this song for ages. Finally got it after 15 years! Haha.
In 2011 my best friend passed away from cancer. We used to sit in his basement and he taught me how to play this intro. I haven’t played guitar since he passed but this brought it all back! Thanks Chimaira!!
This was such a great album. The entire thing was fantastic. Not a clunker on the entire record. You dudes definitely captured lightning in a bottle with impossibility of reason. It has aged very well. It doesn't sound like an old record. It's something special and you guys should be proud.
I'm not crying, YOU'RE crying. 😂 The way I feel about seeing and hearing this is indescribable, so I won't embarrass myself to try. Thank you all so much for this! 💜
RU-vid algorithm got me back here, was gonna comment, but I already did, so um, ya I like this video. My Chimera shirt has a giant hole in the armpit and my wife keeps asking me why I wear it, so I'll just point her to here. Thanks Rob! Ya'll need to keep making music, work it out cause it's fuckin' great.
Hmmm I love it when a plan comes together. They're creeping closer and closer. Keep the cameras rolling boys. Documentary on the band reuniting and all of the good shit that would no doubtdly happen afterwards. LETSSSS GOOOOOOO!!!!!!
@@RobArnoldWorld You guys are one of the only bands that make me just wish I was at your live show. The others I just enjoy from a strict musical perspective or to set a particular mood. Chimaira is different. I just want that live show experience of camaraderie and shared sense of community. It really comes through when you opened with Down Again, and sets the mood for the whole show. Very few acts know how to do that. Even fewer can pull it off.
Oh man bringing back the memories. I remember the first time hearing this song and that acoustic part does the skip I thought my cd was fucked lol. I also forgot Mark is a total badass on guitar. Man I miss you guys. This album was a game changer for me. This is total kick ass
I knew Mark played but I didn't realize like he didn't just noodle. Like he can start and finish a song. Lol. Did I miss something? Also Rob I think you should host something on like ESPN or something lmao. You are super professional and full of excitement like you're truly happy.
Damn !!! It still blows my mind that Chimaira didn’t end up being way bigger. The musicianship that the whole band displayed (and again here now with Chimaira 50%) is incredible and it is killer. Love it. Congrats Rob, Mark and Jim...great job. Would love to see a play through with Matt, that would be cool. MFA is a cool dude. Might as well just do Chimaira 2.0 with Rob, Mark, Jim, Matt, Spicuzza and Andols. The albums (& I’ll include self titled minus andols) that this line up were on are THE shit!! Awesome. I nearly wore out the ‘making of’ dvd’s, Coming Alive & the dehumanizing process. Loved the band. Saw Chimaira in Melbourne Australia on the Coming Alive tour and to this day I think it was the best live show I’ve ever seen. I travelled 2190kms (1360 miles) EACH WAY to go to the show. Was worth it though. Rob, keep all these great videos coming. I can’t get enough 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Rob Arnold, we would welcome you back to Oz any day mate, and thank you for replying. It impresses me that you reply to almost every post on every video. Nice work Rob
The age of RU-vid is next to impossible for emerging acts to reach massive audiences on tours, unless it's a pop culture industry-blessed sellout act. I see Chimaira as the band who really picked up the ball where Metallica left off, and carried on with awesome live shows filled with interesting music that leaned on aggression, balanced with emotion and progressive expression. Fear Factory bridged that time as well, but their live show isn't as impactful as Chimaira's, even though their recordings are superb.
I spent nights at the bustop in highschool when this album came out just listening to this. Nearly 20 years later here I am... Still losing myself in the dark corners of this track. 🤘Thanks once again Rob and everyone in Chimaira that made this song possible.
I fucking love this song, takes me back to being 15 again and listening to this in maths using a very discreetly hidden earphone in one ear. Awesome to see you guys perform this 🤘🏻
One year and 774 comments and I think none of us will ever be able to thank you guys for such amazing flashback to our childhood/teenage times. Few moments ago I shared this with my dad, he have evolved, now he can listen to this and enjoy. I told him the story of us working until 3 or 4am in the morning on parties and events where he used to rent the equipment for those events, I told him "while I barely party back then I was next to you with my headphones and my CD player listen to this song for hours over and over again".
From the first time I heard this song way back when it became my favourite instrumental metal song. It still remains so to this day. Thank you Rob, Mark and Jim for this.
I've been listening and following you guys for the last 15 years and this definitely takes me back. You're truly masters of the craft and I wish you success in all of your future endeavors! Cheers from Costa Rica! 🤘🔥
MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! Huge thank you for this. Without a ounce of doubt my favorite instrumental. So many dynamics to this track I would always find something new to love in this. Again massive thanks to you, Jim and Mark for this!!
Cool to see the guys together, I've haven't been as informed or current on the scene lately. This was really cool to see. Bands I played in, in the early 2000s were heavily chimaira inspired. Impossibility was a banger for me.
I still rate this song as one of the most beautiful yet crushingly heavy instrumentals EVER!!! Chimaira were the first band i ever saw live when i was 16 years old and i feel blessed to have seen them live another ten times over the years, NEVER disappointed me live, so many great memories watching and listening to this band. Warms my heart to see this and relive the memories. Thanks Rob!!! your riffs and leads continue to influence me to this day, much love!
Holy shit. Thank you Rob for this. Thank Jim and Mark on my and every Chimaira fan behalf. This brought unexplainable joy and emotion into my heart. Great work guys. Hope to see the 6 of you reunite for another show 🤘🤘
I just think it’s cool you guys all get along well enough to do these things most the time when bands end it’s ugly forever so keep doing what makes you happy Rob I love the channel and you’ve always been one of my favourite guitarists keep it up
Song is truly a classic. I remember owning this CD as a 15 yr old at the time. Impossibility of reason was what got me into double bass drumming. Truly an impeccable album. And from 3 of my idols playing it now......so amazing
Played this song at my high school talent show in 05! Everyone thought we were batshit crazy but to this day, it is arguably the BEST instrumental of all-time. THANK YOU!!!
I was 14y when I first listened to this record and first metal instrumental song ever. Since then I have NEVER stopped listening to this. Since then, when Google and RU-vid didn't exist or barely started on the internet I wished to find a perfect cover and NOW FINALLY FIND IT AFTER 20 YEARS!. Best way of transcend in life is doing music, you guys totally accomplished that.
I sincerely think humanity peaked around 2003-2004ish. Awesome music, social media was in its infancy and it was fun, political division wasn’t crazy, etc etc etc. what a great time to be in high school.
The album IOR had it all, what a fanatic peace of work. I have very fond memories of you touring this album in Manchester England. Great times, Much love.
Takes me back to listening to this album over and over again during my college years. It was a huge influence on my band and I at the time. Still sounds heavy as fuuuck
god i hope you guys all get back together and make a new album that sells a million copies....still one of the best metal bands out there iMO. Cool to see mark playing guitar and so well too. People really dont realize just how much he did on guitar on the albums
Guys I don’t even know what to say! This made my day so much better, you have no idea haha thanks Rob for giving us true Chimaira fans a taste of the old days 🤘
So, no one told me Chimaira was back....fucking badass tho!!! Loved this band growing up in high school. Them, Shadows Fall, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains...this music was my soundtrack growing up as a disgruntled kid and is very near to my heart even as I write this post. Thanks for putting this up, guys. Sounds absolutely killer!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Jeez, Jim got old! Grey beard and the cap is on the right way round! This takes me back, every gig they would come out on stage to this and they even played it live once too.
This bring memories i want chimaira back 😢😢😢😢 im glad i was available to see you guys live 4 times i still have few goodies from you guys 🤘🏽🤘🏽 you guys kick ass
I really wish you guys would get the classic line up back together. Especially now that metal and hardcore is starting to make that reach back to the early 2000's. You guys could make something super special.
Wow... Thank you so much for taking me back to my childhood. It was so satisfying to see you all together again. Thank you again, this is priceless. 🤘🏻❤️
