I'll always miss Rob's playing but am grateful to be able to hear Chimaira at any time!

We played with this lineup on this tour and they kill it live. Mark and Matt Szlachta both guested on our album. Mark did vocals on the title track and Matt did a solo for a song called Dissention. Really nice guys.

amazing performance, Mark surrounded himself with kickass musicians, but needless to say, I miss the spark of the old line up

Too all the people bitching about this lineup and the absence of Rob, Andols, Matt, Jim, and Chris, just watch one of there concert videos and then watch this. I love those guys, the are what made Chimaira what it is. But these guys sound so much tighter. And they are great, experienced musicians who have a passion for making music, and just happen to be technically better than the aforementioned members. Mark IS Chimaira, and he is what is keeping this band alive.

I hope Herrick, Spicuzza, Devires and Arnold will rejoin Chimaira some day.

Completely haphazardly I saw Chimaira open up for Slayer in 12/2001 and then again on The Blackest of The Black Tour 10/2005. They put on an incredible show both times. The Slayer audience wasn't that big on them but I was and The Danzig audience was more receptive. Behemoth and Lacuna Coil were on 2005 show and I Think Chimaira stole show next to Danzig. Of course that was back when Glenn could still sing live. Long winded way of saying I really miss this band and would love to see them reunite and put out another killer record.

Wow they played Coming Alive. I've been to a few of their concerts and they have never played it. Pretty neat. Emil does a pretty good job.

Im not a guitarist but also noticed the completely different sound, not that deep and tight as Rob & Matt & James made. Also they used ESP+ESP, now it is ESP + Ibanez (Emil). This Ibanez doesn't sound that heavy+chunky as ESP imho.

This is the best metal band sinse sabbath.

considering what happened to the band i think the should only play age of hell foward. I dont think i can stand another moment of Emil butchering the song "the flame". He is a great guitarist but chimaira had a uniquie sound that left with rob arnold. Nothing sounds right when i listen to this...Mark doesnt even look happy. One day the old band will come back, for the mean time mark should work on a new project.
