Chimera Illusion moves into META - Deck Profile Combo Lines 

Combo 2 if you use fusion, fuse king and Diabellze into berfo, send tao, reborn diabellze and add back fusion this way you start with diabellze turning off all quickplays for the turn and still having a fusion to interrupt. I’d also recommend going for gazelle off the swordknight/coatl in this case over berfomet because you’ll still have a fiend to fuse with being edge imp chain and are now able to make a rank 6 in addition to everything else (you do lose the extra sword knight search though so this line is hand dependent)

I won my locals yesterday with the deck. For me it was 50/50 whether I went into Gazelle or Berfomet depending on my hand. I never even opened Branded Fusion the whole event so that never came into it.

Refrain will still get you combo, ns her, add couplet, get spell, go into Bacha, bacha summon, set scales, refrain send another refrain, go into crosssheep, bacha 1 spell 2 to draw and summon refrain, go into exceed, go into appo. Last part is hand dependant but it's a free appo before you do your plays which is cool.

The secret behind the deck is understand how to play thru lines via decisions of min maxing risk to reward especially in game 2-3.

I think Branded is the strongest. It does the best against Droll and Shifter, is the most consistent and has the best grind game of the three. I tried pure for a long time and found so many brick hands where I was thinking "if this Veiler was a Branded Fusion/Branded Opening, we'd be going full combo here, but instead we're setting Edge Imp pass". As for melodious I really dislike the extra deck requirement that plays into Droll, just to put up Apo + Vortex. Your hands where you open any Melodious that isn't Ostinato, are just bad. At least with Branded you get grind. Make Rind turn 1, foolishing Gazelle. On opponents turn it gets outed, reborn Albaz and make Mirrorjade with an opponents monster, send Albion for extra banish. EP Albion searches Branded Fusion. Turn 2, use that Branded Fusion and go Lubellion into Dragoon. Off 1 card that's a 6/7-of, that's full combo + 3 disruptions + Branded Fusion follow-up for the next turn too.

@@francisbartoszewski2284 Melodious Chimera is better going first, much better end board. Not as good going second. Branded Chimera is better going second, easier to break boards. If you draw an Albaz with Edge Imp Chain or no other way to fuse or start your plays, you will probably lose. Pure is probably somewhere in-between and gets better after Infinite Forbidden, but by that point you can consider Fiendsmith Chimera, which is probably how I'm going to play the deck later this summer.

@@rdubtheislander238 in your scenario, if that Aluber was a Couplet or a Mourner you'd be even more likely to lose. At least the Aluber which is the brick, will still get you full combo if your opponent doesn't have a handtrap.

@@francisbartoszewski2284 Meant to say Albaz, as Aluber actually has some use going first. Edited original message. When I brick with this deck, it's so awful. Something like: Albaz, Chimera Fusion, Talents, Master Tao the Chanter, Called by the Grave Is just an awful hand going first and something I haven't been able to work around. If you have any suggestions how to make the deck less bricky I'm all ears. When you don't brick with the deck, you clap. But when you brick, you brick hard and its frustrating.

@@rdubtheislander238 I've not bricked a single time with the deck. It's interesting that your custom 'brivk hand' includes two 1-ofs and a 2-of and a 6-of non engine piece. That hand of two 1-ofs + Albaz is a 0.16% chance to open. The chance of opening that with the other two cards in hand being dead makes the odds even lower. If you're complaining about a 1/200 game brick rate, idk what to tell you. What's also interesting is that hand is insane going 2nd.

@MSTTV I just couldn't quite figure out how I'm suppose to effect couplet, you say activate couplet then just set it to scale? Also couplet say "while this card is face up in the extra deck. When you reveal it from hand does it go top to extra deck or something?

Ideally, against tenpai summon diabellze in def mode early into the game brefore you pass turn and provide yourself 1 option to revive it. They cannot Kaimen because it’s a quick play. Also even if they have lightning storm it won’t be affected. So that makes short work of that initial part. Chimera fusion can be used to take out the field spell either with magnum reliever or chimera. Game 2 side in ash, crow, tcboo, simul arch field and pray they aren’t opening shifter.

If you start with just refrain, you need exceed.

@@wildwombatarmy im just explaining why you need exceed the pendulum. If you dont run it, refrain is a brick to draw. Then youre just completely relying on drawing ostinato

@@MSTTV draw the out lmao I’m trollin but I’m all seriousness the probability of u drawing a one of imperm versus the 3 of droplet is so low I mean great if u have it but just seems like it could go to a better card like ttt since almost every list tempi play over 12-15 hand traps at least with that u can rip a card an proceed to clap cheeks ( just my pov)

Without ostinato the mellodius engine doesnt exist. if you have no ostinato just cut the mellodius engine entirely and play handtraps instead.

Its cool… but leads to dead ends at times, spellcaster types, the sinfulspoul search was cool but a bit slow. If you cut melodious maybe. But at that point why not play just edge imp and play closer to 40. Zealantis made short work of battle phase stuff.
