This low-end model of drone is no more than manufacturing children's toys in China. My nephew made something similar to Shahed 136 for his summer science homework. Control servos, communication modules, and simple flight control software can all be purchased at very low prices on Taobao, then print a PCB and assemble it with a soldering iron under my guidance. . . In the face of the super supply chain, high-tech things that appear to Iran are as easy as buying potato chips in China , so much so that they can do it in their rural backyards and Organize production. Chinese military looks down on these gadgets and has no intention of large-scale production. However, the Chinese government is indeed happy to see private companies producing these gadgets and exporting them to Russia, yes! The general export of small commodities for civilian use, unrelated to CCP, is simply perfect, and the international community can't even find a reason for sanctions.

The reason why this drone is also great is because the missile used to shoot it down may cost more than the drone itself, so at the minimum you are making your opponent use up more resources even if they can defend against it.

In addition to China, Russia has also copied the Iranian Shahed-136 kamikaze drone, recently inventing the Geran-2 kamikaze drone and the even more modern KYB kamikaze drone. But we must not forget that Iran has also modernized the Shahed-136 by equipping it with a turbojet instead of a piston MD550. Now, it no longer buzzes like a scooter, Iran has also produced the Shahed-238 kamikaze drone, much more modern, silent and powerful than the Shahed-136. Iran also produced the Arash-2 kamikaze drone.

That tip modification is very interesting. If it has a camera and a remote guidance capability, then the drone can actually be retargeted in flight beyond just Beitou guidence. This can become more like a long range, large warhead version of the Lancet.

In the Russian campaign of the 2nd world war, the German advanced Tiger and Leopard tanks, eventually could not hold their own against the cheap, and inferior Russian tanks., mainly due to the shear superiority in numbers of the Russian hardware. No matter how advanced an air defence system, it can become ' saturated ' and ' spent ' if the enemy launches a massive attack by cheap but plentiful drones or aircraft. This Shahed 136 was designed from the outset to overwhelm enemy air defences, and it looks as though, Iranians have achieved their design goal.

The most probable outcome, is that the target will be destroyed. Even the most heavily defended US aircraft carrier strike groups will not likely have anywhere near 1000+ missile interceptors available, and the Phalanx CIWS guns have rather short range, such that they would not be able to engage a very large number of the drones (compared to a swarm of 1000+), in the time that it takes for the swarm to transition from out of firing range, to hitting the target. The Shahed-136 drones fly rather slowly, which makes them vulnerable to getting shot down by airplanes with Gatling guns, but the US does not have anywhere near enough gun equipped fighters available to scramble quickly enough to shoot down a swarm of 1000+ drones at a time. Essentially, a swarm that large is pretty much guaranteed to saturate/deplete/overwhelm the best defenses that the US has available to it. In other words, US military doctrine is fundamentally flawed. A US aircraft carrier costs more than $10 billion USD, and is probably closer to $20 billion, when combined with the value of the other things on board (ex: airplanes, crew, munitions, etc.). However, the Shahed-136 is estimated to only cost $20,000 each, and if China is starting production of a new variant, it is likely that the price will fall, perhaps substantially. However, an attack made with a 1000x swarm of Shahed-136 guided long range munitions at $20,000 each, is only $20 million USD, which is 1/1000 of the value of the US aircraft carrier. In other words, if Russia, China, or Iran can sink a US aircraft carrier using a 1000x swarm of Shahed-136 style drones, which they probably can, they will basically win the battle in a large way, by a financial factor of 1000x. The US likes to think of itself as a "wealthy" nation, but the US economy is not 1000x bigger than China + Russia + Iran. The total US economy is somewhat smaller than China's economy, and the US is much less efficient at manufacturing things. Consequently, the US cannot realistically win a non-nuclear war of attrition against any reasonably sized nation that decides to mass produce cheap, but accurate, long range guided munitions, like the Shahed-136. A potentially realistic way for the US to try to win in such a scenario, is to adapt and become capable of manufacturing an even larger quantity of interceptors and their own attack drones, at a price cheaper than the adversary (or rather adversaries plural, since Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea all appear to be effectively allied against the US at this point). Realistically, such is not likely to happen, since the US government has not even recognized its own vulnerabilities and weaknesses, and the US is not flexible or efficient when it comes to building factories quickly and mass producing things cheaply. Each missile interceptor that the US expends shooting down Shahed-136 style drones usually costs the taxpayer around $1-2 million USD each. The Shahed-136 has a large enough warhead to be dangerous and thus the US does need to shoot them down if it wants to win a battle, but at the same time, they cost too much for the US to actually shoot any significant quantity of them down. Every time the US shoots down a Shahed-136 style drone, using a $1 million dollar missile interceptor, the adversary effectively still wins, since they successfully destroyed a $1 million USD target, for a drastically lower price of $20,000.
Iran helped it allies while. Israel didn't help anyone until now the Israeli weapons are not seen or deployed in Ukraine and i wonder 🤔 why hmmmm ?! Anyway not bad for drone 👍😊😉
Iranian drone🇮🇷😎♥️ Because it is the original, and the rest of the drones are a copy of it And of course, the Iranian drone has demonstrated its capabilities in a real war, but not the Chinese drone!
China can make better engines than Iran, leading to lower weight and higher range - for same payload. More importantly, China can mass produce these drones, in far greater numbers than Iran.
You see the invention of this weapon from the country's geniuses who were and are under the most severe arms, equipment, economic and political embargoes! Unlike other countries that are full of international deals and large arms purchases from superpowers, here a superpower that you always buy weapons from is asking Iran to sell the technology of a weapon to Chinese!
And China can make them cheap. And China is Iran's biggest trading partner, with Iran having a trade surplus with China so they have plenty of RMB to buy Chinese products. I think we're going somewhere here.
There is no need for a data link at all. The desired goal and mission is determined beforehand, and once the drone starts its mission, it will not return. The drone detects the location of the target with a GPS sensor and the target itself with a camera installed and processed by artificial intelligence and moves towards it at maximum speed.
Chinese drones with computer vision and AI can be more deadly in the battlefield. These loitering bombs can become fire and forget weapons - which will seek and destroy enemy autonomously.
What's important in the battlefield is A weapon East to use cost effective and have huge impact Iran is the best on this matter right now Using a multi million kamikaze drone to destroy a million dollar vehicule is a failure in the army war standards It's not always the case we're the most expensive stuff with high tech is the best If the easy cheap one do the same job why spending money you can make multiple ones rather then one I know that every expert in the field will understand what I say Russia can make drones but they choosed the Iranians ones because of this matter You can use your multi million drone I have thousands of cheap one that do the same job

It’s a very effective weapon because it is accurate, even if slow, and carries a huge warhead. So the threat of the drone has to be honoured and air defence HAS to engage them, often using interceptors that cost 10X as much. Beyond a combat weapon it is an economic one. I think radar-layed ADA SPAAGs like the German Gepard are going to become MUCH, MUCH more popular. Only economical way that these weapons can be intercepted is with guns like this.

Iran's drones are in fact copies of Israel's IAI Harpy drones, which are used for anti-radar purposes, whereas Iran, due to its backward electronics industry, produces Shahed 136 drones that can only strike stationary targets and are not very accurate. And in fact, Iran's drone uses a lot of Chinese civilian drone parts and Western electronic equipment. So to say that China has copied the Shahed 136 is patently inaccurate. China already had a Harpy drone in 1994, and a modified ASN-301 anti-radiation drone went into mass production in 2007.
Not just a copy but exact clone of the drone. The only difference i see is that it had a bigger warhead and one piece frame compared to Iranian shahed drone
