As a great grandmother from Atlanta USA I am enthralled with your travels because you are living my dream. I always wanted to travel the world and see all the amazing places and meet the local people! Unfortunately I never got to do any of that. You do a wonderful job with details and information about the places you visit! Thank you so much for everything you do educating myself and others about the countries we only dream about visiting! You are a sweetheart! Big hugs to you from America! 🌹💐
Everyone in Chinese villages always seem so friendly and welcoming! I also like that they respect each other's ethnic cultures so much! If the world were more like this, it would be a better place!
Dear Yuan, I'm watching your video from a psychiatric section in an hospital in Italy (depression , nervous breakdown ). I'm glad I can ride your scooter with you to see such amazing places. God Bless You. Thabk you! 🤗💖🙏
Only after watching your vlog i realize how big and diverse china is. I'm not even chinese and now i'm jealous of how beautiful it is and how you guys keep your tradition despite being one of the most advance country in terms of technology
I am an Indonesian Chinese, but we knew that some of our anchestors came from Yunnan, so it's a pleasure for me that I can see the place where they came, thanks sister! Xie-xie!
Ofcos is, even native Borneo was part of China, include Japanese and Korean. Basically Chinese (which include hundreds of races spread through out to Asian land lol ☺
Yunnan dude here. I’m the 88th gen of my family according to our genealogy. We were origined from Shandong province but have been here for a very long time. Our last name is also very common for today’s Koreans. Come to Yunnan and you may find the roots of some of your family branches. ❤ We keep our traditions and welcome our brothers and sisters.😊
My heart aches a little bit watching this. Spent almost 10 years on and off in Yunnan. From turning 18 to my late 20s. Now I'm old and have a family and haven't been back for almost as long :'( it's one of those magical places in the world where it feels like an adventure is waiting around every corner.
That Auntie is warm and charming and she is adorable too. Bless her for even making you that cute grass stalk souvenir. That view of that hotel is stunning.
The tranquil countryside and villages is truly diverse and beautiful. Life is characterized by simplicity and a close connection to nature. The people are content with what they have in life. This way of life has been passed down through generations, preserving a deep sense of tradition and continuity. Many people find happiness in the simple pleasures of life-family gatherings, local cuisine, and the beauty of their natural surroundings. This perspective emphasizes the value of inner peace and fulfillment over material wealth. This is CHINA.
Trust me thse farmers have an extremely difficult life and would want to get out of their environment if they could. You woud not want to live the back breakling life style they are living. and doing laborius work morning to night to make just a subsistence life. Educate yourself about the "Hukou" system, where you are stuck to the land you were born in and just can't pick up and move somewhere to improve your life. Hukou is a system of household registration used in mainland China. The system itself is more properly called "huji", and has origins in ancient China; hukou is the registration of an individual in the system. If you move to say Beijing or Shenzhen, you can't get a job unless it is off the books. Then, if you have childen, you can't register your you children in another city.
@@user-sw7os5rp9hThe lady farmer that Yan stopped to talk to and who made Yan the beautiful wheat stalk ornament didn’t seem unhappy! She was friendly and full of smiles! She said she had travelled to Anhui, Beijing. Sure country farmers in the old days may have backbreaking lives. But these days, i don’t think they are as impoverished. China’s rural people who live in such beautiful countryside can thrive with tourism. Look at the luxurious hotel Yan stayed at 1450 yuan a night is not a cheap price. The rural proprietors must have progressed with the times of China prosperity!
@@daniel2k2 Under the Hukou system, people were either urban or rural residents and were expected to live and die in the same locale. This restricted internal migration prevented those living in rural regions from migrating to urban areas in search of employment. The Chinese Communist Party came up with this system to restrict movement for employment.
@@user-sw7os5rp9h I am Chinese. Do you know what you are saying? Is this all from your imagination? Who told you that? China's household registration system only distinguishes which province you are a resident of. What does it have to do with free migration? In China, you can move to any place you want. Who cares?
An amazing young girl who has the confidence to travel alone on the road to introduce Chinese culture, and many of China's beautiful & serene landscapes to the world. I take my hat off to you.
China was never really a destination I ever imagined wanting to visit. After watching many of these videos, it seems like it would be full of AMAZING destinations
This is nature at its best. Spectacular mountains, green lands, rivers, and humble livings. You travelled a long way, taking us through this magnificent journey, on your bike over 100 and 100 of kilometres and difficult terrains. Thank you very much and you should pamper yourself and enjoys the luxuries along the way 🥰❤🙏
Your drone shots are breathtaking. And your choice of music accompanying them makes the scenery even more captivating. Thanks for sharing your travels.
This place is nearest to my home i.e Arunachal pradesh, India. The river is called Lohit river . All topography is same only difference is Chinese are more developed.
I have seen a lot of Eastern China including many small towns and rural area and like you, find the people are kind and friendly everywhere. But you have a special knack of finding ordinary people who are open and interesting and who live lives very different from ours in New Zealand. The landscapes, cultures and daily lives are fascinating to us and ordinary to them. You have a special skill in presenting the positive sides of the rural life in China. Thankyou.
Thank you for your kind words about the breathtaking landscapes and the opportunity to meet local people while traveling. It's always a pleasure to explore new places and connect with the community.
Another heartwarming rural adventure! This is much different than the people who just walk around and film. You have great conversations with the locals, and it really makes this so much more educational when you ask about their culture! We get to hear about their cultures directly from the source! Your efforts are very much appreciated Yan! I love this series!
Yan I love this. Both my wife and I watched and she agrees too. Such a wonderful editing but also seeing you joy in a nice 4 star hotel!!!! LOL. I laughed quite a bit over your reaction. You are really a good."China Ambassador " showing the real China. The peoples are happy , free to plant their crops, free to do their businessness and their sincere friendliness. The lives of Chinese peoples are completely different from.whatbthe western.media.describe so negatively. Keep up the good work.
Thanks dearest Yan for this beautiful real life in China, you got a pretty cow food decoration for your bike. The Temple on the high cliff has a beautiful view from all sides. Naxi and Tibetan villages live and share their traditions in daily and festive events. The luxury hotel at the end of your trip has delicious traditional food and treats, with a great variety of eats and drinks. It is a pitty that Flo is not with you, he would love to stay here too. Take a good rest, stay healthy strong, see you in next episode. God bless you❤🙏🌻
You have created the best channel on youtube. If I were younger I would definitely plan trips to China. Thank you for what you share with us. Your motorbike skills have become excellent very quickly.
This place is so scenic and quiet too 😃 the farmer lady is also very warm towards sojourner, she looks pretty in your photo Yan. You are always considerate towards the people you meet along the way Yan, that’s a great virtue! ❤👍
😍🥰♥️Wow love that amazing handicraft gift the kind lovely native lady made for you from the wheats, it looks like an eagle with spread wings soaring. Perfect place you have it at the front of your bike. 🦅🌱♥️✨

😊I’m so grateful to watch these videos. I’ve traveled extensively all my life but for the past five years this has been curtailed and your journeys nourish my soul whilst I transport myself on the back of your motorbike. These areas remind me of Bhutan

April is not the tourist season in western Sichuan, but the hotel price is 1,400 RMB, which is a bit expensive. However, this place is really beautiful. I took the Yunnan-Tibet Highway to enter Tibet. I have watched many self-driving travel videos, but I have never been to these villages that are not on the national highway. Thank you for sharing!
This is my first time experience of your channel, Yuan. These landscapes of Yunnan province of China are indeed like a paradise. The Naxi and Tibetan people are absolutely beautiful and warm hearted. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos. As a fellow motorcyclist, I can relate to all that you showed. Keep exploring and enjoy the rides! Greetings from India.😊
I was around that area last year I couldn’t stop recording or taking videos for the locals I was a weird foreigner but such views are just mesmerizing xie xie!!! Gonxi gonxi!!!
