@@Retronyx idk why this point always gets brought up? Generally in Asia, it's not that big of a deal with gender. For example, in Nepal, same sex marriage is legalised and in Thailand, transgender people are accepted into society. Katherine is an American that did her graduate work in Environmental Studies/Engineering in China and now works in (no surprise) environmental engineering work. Katherine has talked extensively in her videos about how China's rural areas used to put all of their sewage AND industrial waste directly into the nearest body of water. Needless to say Katherine talks about how the rivers and streams in China's rural areas were horrifically foul smelling....... kind along the lines of what present day india/South Asia and Southeast Asia is like. Katherine said that China implemented a vast urgent building of "micro sewage/septic systems across all rural areas across China starting in the early 2000s. Apparently the vast majority of China's rural bodies of water have been greatly cleaned up, though there are still areas to implement the rural sewage/septic systems in........ Nonetheless Katherine shows how cleaned up China rural waters have been as Katherine goes swimming in the waters (and if you watch enough of her videos you find Katherine loves swimming).
