Amazing!!!! China's government has done good job in preserving their minority's culture. The modernity of the city in Inner Mongolia is also stunning.

Some people appreciate nomadic culture, at the same time bash Chinese government and saying it has nothing to do with preserving Mongolian culture. Do you know how hard it is to live a semi nomadic lifestyle? Do you know how much money Chinese government spend to preserve minority culture so people can live there old ways but still make enough money to live in modern society? Stop being childish. You try to live like that and don’t get any kind government support. Native Americans today struggle to preserve the little cultures they still has left and what did they get? Not even water pipes.

Excellent video Alex, Thank you for showing us Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. you showed us both the modern cities and the respect for "living local traditions". China is a great country, that accepts and respects all the autonomous regions and their residents, with all their religions, beliefs, and cultures.

Had the best holiday ever in Inner Mongolia, even had a jam with some local musicians at the markets in hulunbuir, it totally changed my musical direction forever, after that I started learning Morin Khuur, Dombra, jaw harp and throat singing, I can’t wait to go back next year!

Went to Inner Mongolia in 2014 for 2 weeks +. The cities, people n food are amazing! Visited Hohhot, Ordos n few others..blew my mind. There is also the Great Wall n Yellow River passing through there. In Hohhot accidentally bumped into the Arab Palace with buffet of 1000 dishes! Streets are straight, clean, did not encounter traffic jams. Amazing, fond memories still in my mind after 8 years. Wish I can revisit more times in future. This video brought nice memories. Though a very short to do justice to Inner Mongolia, still thank you for this video. From Malaysia.

Probably the best preserved ancient nomadic culture in the world! Han+Hun have lived in peace and warfare for millennia ever since they've split from the Xia; this time the peace will last, but now we see great disruptive forces trying to defeat peace and prosperity....which is why the Huaxia must be strong and resolute in face of the bloody challenges.

Genocide? It is amazing that the Mongols Autonomous Region of China is so prosperous and its culture is so complete. Native Americans must envy China's ethnic policies.

For the losers out there spewing hate and again politicising a video that’s just meant to show our country’s ethnic diversity: I know most mongolians hate China. And that’s ok just know that Chinese Mongolia is far richer and more developed that your Mongolia. We embrace and celebrate all Chinese ethnic groups. Chinese isn’t and shouldn’t be synonymous with “Han”. Many ethnic groups originated in what we now know as the PRC and they are not Han. China isn’t just for the Han. It’s for all of us who are Chinese. Sure it makes sense for China hawks and propagandist to paint China as a homogeneous and racially divisive country but we are not. I’m Han Chinese and I look nothing like southern or northern Han Chinese. The concept of Han in my opinion is too broad to be considered a single homogenous ethnicity, and has political origins of population control and unity. Even amongst Han people we have dozens if not over a hundred language variations that are absolutely incomprehensible and not mutually intelligible. Get over it. Clowns here slamming China have zero first hand knowledge of China and have no clue about China’s government. Speaking without knowing is what children do. There’s RU-vid kids for that. Not here this is for adults.

Many friends in the comment area are comparing the economic gap between Outer Mongolia and Inner Mongolia. Let me say a little bit of my personal opinion. It's not that the people of Outer Mongolia don't work hard or work hard. It's not that they are born to only raise livestock.Rather, the entire national economic structure of Outer Mongolia is too single. It is mainly mineral exports, which are greatly affected by fluctuations in the international market. Moreover, in the international market, the buyer sets the price and the buyer sets the rules. I'm a union electrician in San Francisco. One day I was working with 3 Mongolians. I ask them where they from. Outta or inner Mongolia. Told me he from central Mongolia. But I know they came from outta Mongolia. There boss told me. I just say OK and learn something new that day. They was ashamed of their ethics. Outta Mongolia is kicking themselves now. Should had join China when had that chance. Inner Mongolia is 100 times better then the nation Mongolia.
