I am an Aussie. Kevin is our only Prime Minister who was a true scholar. Always liked his intellect in politics, and his study of Chinese language and culture. We must all survive in peace on this planet. Kevin is a man of humble origins who has lifted himself to the highest levels of intellect and diplomacy.

It turns out Kevin Rudd is still more powerful than Scott Morrison on the international stage. LOL

This is going to be heartbreaking for Scott Morrison, they can't get Wang Yi to pick up the phone, and Kevin can have them on RU-vid Program

Kevin Rudd is one of the few rational and intelligent leaders in the West. Australians are lucky to have him still providing leadership for Australia. This is a true valuable program. Yes I agree with those who said this should be listened to by every single Australian and their leaders. Peace, not war.

Indeed an unusual but welcomed forum, thanks to Asia Society. My takeaway is that China is willing to be engaged and is prepared to engage. What China lacks is the ability to do so like what most Western leaders do well, maybe it's a cultural difference. Such forum is constructive and meaningful, especially chaired by an ex PM of Australia. Thank you for this session.

It was a good comprehensive perspective from the Chinese foreign minister. I would have liked Kevin Rudd to ask him some difficult questions- I am sure that the minister would have answered them. The minister’s comments were good however, he left out the obvious unanswered questions on strong arming Australia, border conflict with India and some aggressive actions with Japan.

US is afraid of losing it’s no 1 status in the world. Hence they are doing everything they can to hold on to their current position desperately, even if it has to be over others demise as they have always done. Remember Japan in the 80s? China has no interests in being no 1. They just want to be respected and recognized as a government that looks after its own peoples interests. Perhaps we should, as a global understanding forget about the meaningless GDP rankings. US can be forever no 1 if they want to, or if the world recognizes it to be.

The UN EEZ law needs to be redone. It is totally unfair and unequitable piece of policy/law. Countries with huge coastlines and minimal amount of neighbors gets an unfair advantage, especially countries like Canada and Australia with a small population of 37.7 million and 25.5 million respectively. While a country like China with 1.4 billion and surrounded by many neighbors get screwed with this EEZ BS. ASEAN countries is also screwed because of so many countries get packed together. Northern Europe is another example of a crowded space. EEZ needs to shrink down to no more than 50 miles from the coastline or even smaller for countries with insane amount of coastline. Reform the EEZ.

Hon. Rudd, thank you for your extraordinary work, of which I am an avid follower. With all due respect, however, it was very difficult to listen to Minister Yi's speech, much of which sounded to me personally as pure propaganda and contradictory to many of China's recent actions, especially in the South China Sea and in the economic destruction of fragile nations' economies through BRI policies and practices.

I have never seen Kevin Rudd feeling and displaying so much discomfort and nervousness! His uncomfortable body language is testament to his inner conflict, his disagreement yet his reluctance to debate Chinese foreign minister's atrocious rhetorics, and mostly importantly - the universal moral & ethical values that pricked him like he's sitting on a bed of sharp nails! Lol!
