Considering that Koreans would be using Tae Kwon Do and how movies display the fighting arts...that they would have at least adding him throwing some badass looking kicks before losing.

Too early for Tae Kwon Do. This movie was set in the 1920's and TKD began being developed in the late-1940s to early-1950s following the end of the Japanese Occupation.

@@MrRobjs83 Probably a Taekyeon variant. Tang Soo Do and Hapkido were all post-WW2 developed styles as well. Could also be an older variation of Subak.

@Glen Ros Tae Kyeon and Soo bahk were older traditional styles. Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, and Hapkido were hybrid styles developed post occupation.

Man i wish kung fu was as mainstream as boxing. Not only is it rare where i live, it’s damn expensive due to it. It might not be as effective in a street fight but the amazing abilities you gain from learning the art makes up for it. The balance, the agility, the mentality. This actor did a great job at displaying it

He must have been trained by the shalon monk fighters. Only ppl who have moves like this the snake 🐍 the monkey the rat. They named some of thier Kung Fu after animals. I think the tiger most powerful of there styles
