China wire wheels Are they really so BAD? Christmas Special! 

Yay - a pic of my old green Datsun! Loved my gold wires, 100 spoke and made sure they had a clean after each outing and a coat of silicon spray. They are THE wheel for a lowrider, no doubt.

Totally understood I have had them they have worked great, I think my only issue is with the occasional spokes coming loose and leaking. but they are good for a cpl years. But get what you can and have fun!!

Rims are rims rock what you can afford I've owned roadster wire wheels and Dayton's and chinas look the same to me just name brand

Florida, USA checking in. I had a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 20" daytons with a 235/35/20. I loved them the way in would shine all the way through the rim. At night they be shining so bright!!

A worthy debate Pete. I still have a set of Pinnacle 100 spokes that I got from the US in about 2001. Still never been outside. I don't know if they are US made or Chinese/Taiwanese made, but I do coat them in WD40 regularly.

Chinese wheels are usually ok, but I've seen SO MANY with bad heat treat that bend immediately. You are always rolling the dice with your money. You pay more to cry once, or if you daily them with loved ones in the car.

I had a set I put on my Cadillac DTS. I just found that they didn’t hold up to the moisture here in the south... within days they were already rusting at the nipple.. and that wasn’t from direct water. It was water splashing up off the concrete under my shed.. but they do look good in for the price point they are a great rim!

Bottom line all wire wheels are China except the real Dayton wire wheel.

I'm from Chicago the streets are covered in snow they use a lot of salt it's terrible needless to say I'm just trying to educate myself on wire wheels and such I drive a 2011 CTS Sport Wagon base model all-wheel drive actuated by wire wheels lowrider culture southern Texas slab culture basically car culture from all over this country have influenced me over my life but I definitely am considering a set of wire wheels so I'm simply watching videos and gathering up any information I can about them before the summertime hits

I remember I bought my first set of roadster wire wheels for 300 back in the mid 2000’s.

They leak a lot rust quicker chrome fades and chips faster look the same bend a little easy dayton zenith will last 20 years chinas 12 years hopping on them 10 and half but a little more leaks and a tiny wobble but u can get 2 sets for the price of Zs or Dz

I had to splurge and get triple cross daytons. Done with the leaks, spokes getting loose and not staying true.

I've had my chrome china's since 2017 not a dam thing still look brand new n shiny n I daily them I've had no problems at all but then again I live in California

They go around like a wheel there fine.no wobble they work fine.

I mean you're right they do look good they look really good but I got a set of those cheap ones a set of twenties and I also got a set of 17 in Dayton's and they came from the same guy sitting in the same spot he had upsetting and the cheap ones they're pretty rough the Dayton sell held up perfect all I had to do was spray some wheel cleaner on them and spray them off and they look brand new but you're right the price on Dayton's is incredibly ridiculous I'm from the US and you still can't get Dayton's at a decent price especially right now the nostalgic s*** is coming back and you got to pay for it

Nope... china made wheels have low quality chrome. Thin metals and sometimes not even actual steel. Plenty of videos out there showing the dangers. Now, if you can only afford,.. or can only find... well whatever. Its your life. I would never wear fake gold or fake shoes.... so why put fake wheels on my baby?
