China is Australia's biggest trading partner. It just makes sense that they visit. Paterson just has no clue about China, that's pretty obvious. But then, sinophobia is rife in Australia. Albanese is on record as saying: "“While there are differences between us, both Australia and China benefit from cooperation and dialogue." In other words, dialogue is key with China.
