Few additional points to add: Taoyuan: The stadium was built the wrong way round as the mayer back then wanted the facade facing the junction. So the home plate was facing west instead of east. Which made the batters have to face direct sunshine in the afternoon. Also the field was layered wrong so drainage after the rain is total nightmare. Xinzhuang: The wooden concourse at the front of the stand is actually dancing stage for the cheerleaders. Tainan The photos were outdated. Now the floodlight pylons have moved from the front ofbthe stand to ths back of the stand. Also seat pads were added 2 years ago in the outfield stands.
I've seen so many games at Intercontinental.....several in Tainan....handful at Xinzhuang....handful at Tianmu....about a dozen at Dou-Liu...one in Pintung (which was my 500th different field...now up to 974)
3:35 - The CPBL lost a few teams about 20 years ago after a game fixing scandal. The league was down to four teams for about a decade before the league's credibility was restored and expanded.
Actually since the Tianmu Stadium is the Dragons's ONLY host venue de facto, the Weichuan company did a good job for making the stadium sticked with the Dragons's theme, both interior and exterior. I went to the stadium twice on August for the regular season and October for the Game 1 of the Taiwan series, which the Dragons champs the league 5th times after 24 years. The atmosphere was amazing.🎉
Oh, and Taipei Dome (40071 seats), the first domed baseball stadium in Taiwan will be officially opened soon in December 2, 2023. Its fixed roofs may be a bit outdated for those of you in North America, but for the people of Taipei, there is an urgent need to cope with the cold and rainy winter weather.
Got experience of all these, done 18 baseball stadiums in Taiwan. Tainan is practically my second home, the steep stands help. It’s outdated and a new stadium is well under construction which is sad because the existing stadium has its own charm and the new one is a long way out the city. Tianmu is a nice stadium with a beautiful back drop. Hsinchu is a national embarrassment as they went to reopen it and had to postpone the third game due to the amount of issues, in total over 150 problems found and the reopening was rushed due to an election… I wish my care was taken with construction of stadiums here.
It's actually six, the dragons have two stadiums. Also, there only used to be four teams, which is even less. Each team just has to face each other very often.
It's Taiwan's baseball league, but called itself "Chinese" at the beginning back to 1990. It's because the formal name of Taiwan is actually Republic of China. (Different from PRC). People in Taiwan nowaday prefer to call themselves Taiwan, not ROC. But the baseball league hasn't changed the name. Actually Chinese (people of PRC) don't really play baseball.
So according to your mis-titled video logic, If there is a restaurant in America with the word German or Germany in it's name it actually, is in Germany. Gotcha.
