Incredible job you have done sir. This much of clarity and substantial information even our so called professional tv channels have not provided. Thanks again for good work 👍. I am watching your all videos. All are marvellous.
Thanks for the reconnaissance - I found it very entertaining. Indians are very good at doing serious things in funny ways and taking funny things seriously, both often ending up with hilarious results ;-)
The road trough Aksai Chin (China National Highways 219) goes from Sichuan to Xinjiang! From Aksai Chin its only few hundred road kilometers to Kargilik, which has an railway connection (Kashgar-Hotan-Railway).
Look at the railway line China has built upto its borders. With the present pace, India cannot come close even after 50 years. We need to expedite Rishikesh-Karnaprayag line, bhanupali-bilaspur-manali-Leh line and extend them till our borders on war footing basis.
Indian Government should accelerate in war footing mode all necessary infrastructure including all weather roads to match or even superior to that of China so that India can monitor Chinese activities 24/7 and take offensive measures even with the slighest indication of mischief by the Chinese . This whole thing is scary and totally unacceptable to Indias interests. No wonder that Chinese are jittery and protesting the construction of border roads and the construction of the road leading to Lipulekh which allows the Indian army quick access to the very door steps of China and Chinese controlled areas.
Not each other the f congress nehru who were all Muslims Nd Indra now a ltalian lady who were too busy looting Nd supporting China Nd Pakistan 🇵🇰 Only now a true indian has taken over if we had started atkeast 40 years ago there would be no Pakistan
Truly hope that both countries can reduce military conflicts in the boarder, sit down, and do business together. Fighter over land is a zero sum game, while cooperating and competing in economy can be win-win game. Worry less about how to divide the cake, but more on how to make the cake larger together.

What if during a war the main highway connecting Tibet and aksai chin was bombed by India at several places? Is that highway close to the border a disadvantage for the Chinese?
Sir ,highly admire your work.can you please make a video and elaborate on the chinese presence in Trans-Karakoram Tract. Especially the Shaksgam valley. How strongly do they hold it.Where are the supply lines.I only c a dirt road starting from the highway(G219) running along the Yarkant river and then Kel qinghe, leading to a end point that is exactly on the supposed border. After that in the indian side (rest of the valley) i can not see any roads or military infrastructure in or anywhere near the Shaksgam Valley. Why is it a no Mans land .Why is it not controlled by india when its our territory.Thx, Dhruv.
the chinese were building roads, air port, tunnels, rails all over tibet up to india since 1950.. But all this while the indians were debating whether to build or not border roads.. And when it was decided to build, the chinese protest

In 1962, India pursued a progressive policy that constantly encroached on Tibet and China was forced to fight back. In fact, China had always wanted to negotiate with India to maintain peace and friendship. But Nehru refused to say that all of them were Indian territory. Then war broke out. We don't want war. We built the Great Wall more than two thousand years ago. We hope that we can solve the border problem peacefully in the future. China will not fight for Pakistan. But in Pakistan there is China's oil lifeline.
@@samlin3884 So, was India or Nehru involved in "encroaching'" on Tibet in the Qing era, as you allege?? You were talking about the 1960s AD and not of the Qing era 1765 AD, right?? In the 1950s, Tibet was NOT a part of China, since the Qing era had long ceased to be. China had annexed it forcibly; had Tibet been part of China, China would not have to send troops to occupy Tibet. Tibetans, meanwhile, had gained autonomy later on with the creation of successive Tibetan kingdoms independent of Chinese rule. Kingdom of Tibet (1912-51) OK you can Wikipedia OK. Tibet not part of PRC at that point of time OK you can Wikipedia OK. It was a de facto independent (even though unrecognized) state and even de jure it was part of the Republic of China (Kuomintang) that now exists in Taiwan (which the Chinese do not recognize) and NOT the PRC run by the Communist Chinese OK you can Wikipedia OK. So, who did interfere in Tibet; India or Communist China???
Tibet was administered in the Qing Dynasty, and the Dalai Lama was established by the Chinese Emperor. After 1912, the central government of the Republic of China sent commissioners to supervise the selection of the Dalai Lama and the Panchen Lama, and then held ceremonies. At that time, there was the Mongolian Tibet Committee of the Republic of China. In 1945, the Kuomintang retreated to Taiwan and there was still the whole China in law, but the Chinese people did not. Do you understand that the Republic of China inherited everything from the Republic of China? Tibet was managed by the Government of the Republic of China from 1912 to 1945, while the People's Republic of China inherited the Government of the Republic of China. The whole world recognizes that Taiwan is part of China, including your country OK!
My research suggests, not more than 5000 troops of China are in the region at any given point of time. There are no facilities to host more than that. Also in the entire aksai chin area does not even have a civilian population of 2500. Mostly Buddhist Tibetans, ready to cross over to India where they are free to practice their religion and way of life!
The 5,000 troops serve as a tripwire. If India just sent 1 soldier across Tibetan border, China will mobilize and send 500,000 troops into Tibet to defend it. Tibet is one of the most important strategic region of China.
Now that most of the papers pertaining to the period have been declassified, could you provide a reference which supports this date of 1951? Some books have been published which have reference to this road. What I have read is that the first suspicion that the road existed came in 1957 (or '55?). It was reported by our ambassador in China. And it took us 2years before we could send a patrol to verify it. And that is what the Chinese threw back at us. We forgot the dictum, "Possession is nine points of the law".
After the WWII India regained its land from British Raj but it mistakenly thought it also inherited the territory boundary ( which includes Tibet) desired by the British realm. Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin borders were areas drawn by the the British. What is the English name of McMahon line doing in that area? The British had been skillful in laying time bombs in these areas and in Hong Kong. Now we witness the explosion.
Very interesting. I was exploring Google Earth and this area piqued my interest because it has no labels on the map, no points of interest, barely any names on the map for mountains, rivers, lakes, etc. If you select a location within Aksai Chin, the map does not show any information other than Lat/Long and does not show any country name, neither India nor China. Very weird, I would love to visit one day.
@HoiNam Superior Southern Chinese you fuckin Communist ass hole... People of Arunachal Pradesh are largely Hindus and others also are linked to Indian Culture and speak Hindi language and no one there would like to merge with you Communist Red Dogs

Because Tibet is a strategic state, so strength, speed and intelligence will be the deciding factor in determining who will control Tibet. Historical data on ownership, morals and legality will play no part on who will own Tibet. After the China Civil War (1945-1949) ended in 1949, Mao Zedong wasted little time, and took over Tibet in 1950, before India realize what has happened. India had window of opportunity from 1945 to 1949 when China was engaged in a civil war. It coud have invade and taken Tibet with ease. But India is dim-witted and slow, and did nothing. Nowadays India keep on complaining and whining about China's control of Tibet. Too bad, they are too slow, dim-witted and lack strategic foresight. Well, at least India have control of Sikkim, Northeastern states and Arunachal Pradesh(South Tibet) even though it has no strategic value, it's better than nothing.
@आर्य रौद्र , Tibet is the source of the major rivers of Asia. In India's case, that includes the Indus and Brahmaputra. For China, it's the Yangtze and Yellow. For South East Asia, it's the Mekong. All those rivers support the livelihood of millions of people. The one who control Tibet, controls the source of those rivers. That's why China will never ever give up control of Tibet. At the same time China don't really care about Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Northeastern states. They have no strategic values. In 2003, India recognize Tibet as an integral part of China in exchange for China recognized Sikkim as an integral part of India. China does have historical precedent in claiming Tibet, and India doesn't for Sikkim. But it doesn't matter, China only care about Tibet, and not Sikkim. As for the original natives of Tibet and Sikkim, hopefully their overlords would treat them humanely.
@आर्य रौद्र , the Indian government already made up it's mind and stated Tibet is an integral part of China in 2003. If you disagree you can be a rogue and take up the issue with your own government. Furthermore the Dalai Lama had reversed his position and will not seek independence for Tibet. He even asked China to provide more development for Tibet, which China has been doing all along irregardless.. All the talking, discussion and useless blabbering of freeing Tibet is over.
@Shiva Badruswamy , If India unrecognized Tibet, then China can unrecognized Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Besides the Dalai Lama has reversed his position on Tibet independence and wishes Tibet remain a part of China. And now some Indians want to kick him out of India.
U didnt show that huge complex near western end of Pengaung lake. U just showd small compound with air conditioning facility. Behind it is a huge complex for over thousands troops! Another huge change, go back to Chinese military installation flag on Google earth and check out what they have done.
@henry white no i mean india will be occupied by china And india will become slave nation of china for ever Because they dont know how to run the country
@Paralle. Colonials were treacherous terrorists, Colonialism remains the biggest act of terrorism worldwide. Strangely, India has been at the receiving end of all but Genghiz, they had smashed the Huns a long time ago though. India now need a swift neutralizing of Chinese occupying their territory, take all vantage positions in Tibet and some of Xinjiag, cut off CPEC. If China tries something, screw them in the Indian Ocean, sabotage Gwadar too. India needs to really get into Tibet and Xinjiang now.
They must evacuate this place....jai Hind .... they r hoarding our legal possessions..... out out out..... from our motherland if trying to intrude..... straight n simple ! Very nice video
You may able to fool your people but you can’t fool the world. From the satellite pictures, we saw India built more roads and military camps than the Chinese. The Chinese built those road mainly for economic and partly for defence. While India built 66 roads at the border mainly for military purposes. India has built many river dams to block many rivers flow towards Pakistan and Nepal. We have seen ManyTibetan that lives in China, their living are so much better than those Tibetan that live within the India borders.
It is a popular tourist route from xinjiang to lhasa. I drove this road for my vacation last october . Most of the roads are very good and can go 120 plus kph, but the police did not allow, I got a 6 point ticket and have to pay a 200 RMB(2000rupee) fine for over speed:( .damn those hidden speed cameras!
If the problem of Jammu and Kashmir isn't solved for next few years it will definitely lead us to 3rd world war .milltary budget of India ,China and Pakistan are up in trillions now . Instead of spending the huge chuk of money on such projects all the 3 countries should come forward and try to solve this problem once for all. Spend this money on upliftment of people, education, health and research sector.
Even if a blade not grow there it's of strategic importance. China can never be our friend. George Fernandez rightly said CHINA IS OUR MAIN ENEMY. India is the only competition for China. China recognized this in the early 1950s. If India wants to be a force to reckon with, we should have a thriving and vibrant defence industry. Its of strategic importance and geo political influencer.
This is all happened after illegally occupied of TIBET ,before 1959 there is no issue on border security, now problem is facing on border. I think the only solution is to support Tibet independent than eventually border tension will resolve .. Jai Tibet Jai Bharat 👍
And confirmed in writing by Grandson Papu Rahul and his mother Antonio Maino Sonia in the Party to Party MOU signed by Papu and his mother Antinoio Maino Sonia.
It was Nehru who gave directions to include Aksai Chin in Kashmir while drawing maps. India was never in possession of Aksai Chin. According to Macarteny- McDonald line , Chinese Chinese got the suzerainty.
@Hulk India was not in possession of Aksai Chin. Anyway, who decides the legality? What we have today is the legacy left behind our colonial dads, the British. It is only speculations that if we had done this or that, China would have been defeated. What provoked the Chinese was the fact that Nehru asked the cartographers to include Aksai Chin in India. After the defeat of the Sikhs in 1846, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh came in the possession of British who then installed Gulab Singh as Maharaja under British suzerainty. The British fixed the southern end of the boundary at Pangong Lake, BUT REGARDED AREA NORTH OF IT (Aksai Chin) AS TERRA INCOGNITA, , that is unknown territory. Pangong Lake lies at the southern end of Aksai Chin. William Johnson, a civil servant with the Survey of India proposed the "Johnson Line" in 1865, which put Aksai Chin in Kashmir. This line was never presented to the Chinese. In 1878 the Chinese had re-conquered Xinjiang. By 1892, China had erected boundary markers at Karakoram Pass. In 1899, Britain proposed a revised boundary suggested by McCartney. THIS BOUNDARY PLACED THE LINGZI TANG PLAINS, WHICH ARE SOUTH OF THE LAKTSANG RANGE, IN INDIA, AND AKSAI CHIN PROPER, WHICH IS NORTH OF THE LAKTSANG RANGE, IN CHINA. This border, along the Karakoram Mountains, was proposed and supported by British officials for a number of reasons. The Karakoram Mountains formed a natural boundary, which would set the British borders up to the Indus River watershed while leaving the Tarim River watershed in Chinese control, and Chinese control of this tract would present a further obstacle to Russian advance in Central Asia. The British presented this line, known as the Macartney-MacDonald Line, to the Chinese in 1899 in a note by Sir Claude MacDonald. The Qing government did not respond to the note. According to some commentators, China believed that this had been the accepted boundary. THESE BOUNDARY LINES REMAINED UN-DEMARCATED AT INDIA'S INDEPENDENCE. Upon independence in 1947, the government of India used the Johnson Line as the basis for its official boundary in the west, which included the Aksai Chin. Up to this point, the boundary in the Aksai Chin sector, based on the Johnson Line, had been described as "un-demarcated." The Indian position, as stated by Prime Minister Nehru, was that the Aksai Chin was "part of the Ladakh region of India for centuries" and that this northern border was a "firm and definite one which was not open to discussion with anybody.” The Chinese minister Zhou Enlai argued that the western border had never been delimited, that the Macartney-MacDonald Line, which left the Aksai Chin within Chinese borders was the only line ever proposed to a Chinese government, and that the Aksai Chin was already under Chinese jurisdiction, and that negotiations should take into account the status quo. In situation like this, it is always the might is right.
This video made 3yrs ago is highly relevant in current situation. Wonderfully detailed & explained. Ofcourse now China apparently has built more bases & posts. One thing is it hurts to know how they sneakily took away our land while a pacifism was romantic. Our troops should have preemptively captured all these posts even befoee they tried. One day that will be done. PS: China don't bother scaring us. Nobody is afraid of you. You've almost lost Taiwan. USA is arming it to the teeth.
The Chinese built the road, along an ancient route used for over 2000 years, unknown to Indians, ever, another evidence that Aksai Chin belongs to China historically.
An Indian dude talking about what China has done within its borders. Indians should worry about what keeps India behind its potential. India needs to engage China and Russia and stop flirting with the US and its former colonial master.
"Aksai chin" is the ancient turkic. "Aksai" means white stone beach, and "chin" means china,so the full meaning of "Aksai chin" is "the white stone beach in china",that's it.
