Well the Chinese one was more comfortable probably cuz the suspension shattered upon impact meanwhile the relatively ancient rolls Royce will most likely do that all day and not break a sweat
Moreso, Bentley has stiffer suspension because it's a performance luxury car... Bentley used to be performance version of Rolls Royce. Stiffer suspension resulted into that glass cup vibration. Do 100mph and corner with that hongqi and let's see if it remains on the road
@@paulzhang5038 if you want a fair comparison, compare it with the car currently on sale. Not some 10-yr old museum piece. The Hongqi is being described as "Next-gen". So it's fair to compare them with the next-gen Bentley and Rolls Royce. It's not cope, my friend. It's plain-old common sense.

Let's be honest, the new version of these luxury car aren't much better, they don't use a much better technology the only reason the chinese did so well be becaude they use some bought patented technology. But the other aspects of the car aren't that good
Besides, whenever you feel that Chinese car is not comfortable anymore due to wear and tear, you can simply buy another and repeat for 7 times for the price of a Rolls Royce.
Anyone who has a basic understanding of the physics of the spring-damper system, and specifically its natural resonance frequency, understands how this type of test can easily be rigged to show anything you want: just match the vehicle speed and bumps distance to either hit or avoid the resonance frequency of your suspension setup and voila !
You should google the price tags of used 15 to 20 year old Bentleys and Rolls Royces like the ones in this video before humiliating yourself with stupid replies like this 😂
you can easy rig test like this just with tyre pressures, yet alone adjusting where any hidden weight is, to upset the front vs. rear suspension rate. I do like the part at ~34sec showing that after the "test" Hongqi had MORE water above the red line after the test than before the test, if we are to take images of the glass's at face value.
It wasn't simply hydraulic, it was hydropneumatic and so good that Rolls-Royce licenced it, the Xantia Activa who had the last "true" hydropneumatic suspension still holds the record for the fastest moose test with 85 kph to this day, beating much newer Porsches, McLarens and other high performance cars.
No one is talking about how the weight of these vehicles are as important as the suspension setup, eating of the 'energy' of the bumps reducing the vibrations.
@@kafiluz4317 You didn't understand what I meant. The ''energy' of the bumps is always handled differently by a heavy slung car compared to a lighter vehicle. If you punch a skinny person and if you punch the same punch to a fat/bulky person, it'll do different amounts of perceived pressure on each. You get the drift?
Живешь прошлыми стереотипами, но время идет, все меняется. Гавно сегодня все европейское, а китайцы вырываются вперед. За Европой остается лишь надутый пиаром престиж и соответствующе надутый ценник, больше ничего.
Passing this test is possibly pointless anyway. Depending on what you want in your ride. A tighter suspension will perform better at speed and agility, but worse at keeping water in your glass when driving over speedbumps. My mom's old Buick century would've aced this test.
Just check your hand held device backside if its made by China then don't use your Iphone & any computer devices or any things made by China if you don't like it except if you are belongs from filthy rich families ...... China Made things so we poor people can buy things in the 3rd world.... otherwise EU made or USA made things we can't afford...
A really confidence-inspiring test. The cars drive on an uneven surface and the camera captures the action of the suspension of some random cars. Then Bentley comes and very reliably we can be sure that the platform or something else has not been manipulated. All facts. Such videos are great!
The market is the place that decides who wins and who loses. Would you rather sit in a Hongqi instead of a Rolls or Bentley? Even Chinese people will choose Rolls or Bentley over Hongqi.
Not for too long. Theres are reasons, why German companies start having huge problems in the Chinese market. This video is one of them. Also the actual know how in cars was the combustion engine. With e-mobility beeing pushed, this advantage is gone.
Does a place exist? It surely ain't the USA because here you can fill a large library with just the amount of laws we have and when it come to choosing leaders, we only get to choose their red choice or their blue choice.
I promise you they’ve faked the suspension tests for this red flag They are NEVER going to catch up or be safe as a luxury vehicle with Audi/Volkswagen Group or BMW Group parts
No, it won't, because Rolls Royce actually licensed the hydropneumatic suspension from Citroen. A Citroen and a Rolls Royce basically have the save suspension technology. The difference is the Citroen is actually a good deal for the money.
And how many Chinese inventions where copied, nowadays they are just doing what the west have done to them. Only one difference since historically speaking chineses don’t coerce foreign nations into bad trades.
So basically because the Chinese can steal patent material from multiple car manufacturers and take all of their best bits and put it together and then call it their own
I add more, even I don't believe this video is true, we never known behind the scene, I am sure, the video makers shaking the glass when Rolls crossed the speed bump, or any effect. And then other option, they change the suspension and shock absorber systems in Rolls, we know China with communism system is good in making promotion. On the other hand, western products and Japanese products promoting their brands on public consumption without making fool videos
Commenter here full of wisdom. Instead of comparing price, they compare age technology and willingly pay high price for such antic technology, very smart peoples.
There is a reason why rolls royce and bentley doesn't do it that way. Main reason is that in this way if a road has bumps then most people would still keep on speeding which defeats the purpose of bumps. But the other reason is that it kills driver engagement. So if an old person (people who usually buys rolls royces) drives over a road with potholes he wouldn't know about the damage he's causing to his car until he gets the feels in the steering.
