I am Chinese, I had to say buy a super car in US is much more cheaper than China, for example same money buy the Audi Q7 in US, only can buy a Q3 in China.
There is a large chinese community at my school (Penn State), and many of them own some crazy cars. One of my great friends has a Liberty Walk GT-R, his girlfriend has a Varis GT-R, and I just met someone with an Aventador today. I think the worst thing is, many people just assume they are stuck up students who hate us. In reality, they are incredibly kind people willing to share their cars with anyone. Many of them are intimidated by Americans, as they are across the world, and may not be able to speak English as well, and they feel out of place. Really sad that people assume such shitty things about them, while every international student I've met is extremely nice.
They dont have the money to buy these cars man, its their parents. Ever heard of money laundering? The money is used for their kids education, cars are'nt as traceable as cash in the bank, chinese government cant get to it easily. End of the day, if they need the money they can always sell the cars.

Many Chinese ppl come to America to study! I go to a community college and there’s quite an amount of chinese international kids. I am an ABC ( American born Chinese-Vietnamese) and I do talk to some of these kinds of kids. My friend and I are both 18 but she is one month older than me. She drives a Benz and where’s nice clothes to school. A lot of them are actually very kind ppl and they don’t often show off their bling to ppl in school. Also they don’t really interact with other ppl from different ethnicities. They like hanging out together.
being able to own a supercar in the states is not called rich, cuz cars in the states are cheap. $100,000 I can get a GTR in the states, but the same price in China I can only get a volvo. So being said, if you can own a supercar in China, that is callled rich.

Actually if China substantially reduces the tariff imposed on imported luxury cars, you will see lots of Ferrari or Lamborghini on the streets of Chinese city. It's so sad Chinese cannot make super cars by themselves.

I’m not trying to show off or something but some of us rich kid are actually very nice and kind. Don’t judge us by our wealth or our family background, judge us for being who we are and don’t be mean to us. We are born the way we are. They are very rich, but not the top 1% in China(maybe top 5%). Most of their parents are upper middle class. Those cars just way cheaper in NA than in China. For example, MSRP for Mclaren 650s is 265,500 us dollar in the US, but it costs like 580,000 us dollar in China(Base price). You can barely buy like Porsche 911 (Panamera or cayenne) GTS with 265,500 us dollar in China.

I mean you can see $265k cars in most of the places, especially in big cities, but NOT very often. if you just stand somewhere in Beijing and count how many $265k cars you see, I can promise you when you see one $265k car, there are thousands of cars passed you already.
And if those people are just upper middle class, like top 30%, then why the average salary in China is below $1500 per month? It should be much higher. The only thing you said is true is about the car price, yes, way cheaper.
To be honest, it's very often to see one in big cities(agree with u). And yes I went to China before. I was in Nanshan district, Shenzhen City and Hong Kong. I know that Nanshan is the richest district in China. I saw at least two or more Porsche(plenty of BMW and Mercedes etc.) at each traffic light in Shenzhen. I think Chinese people like Bentley(4 doors car or suv) more than "THE SUPERCAR" in China. I thought Beijing is richer than Shenzhen.
It totally depends, if you are in downtown Shenzhen, such as some bar streets, yes, you can see M6, Bentley GT, Lambo, etc. But most middle class people just own a Audi A6, or BMW 5 series. And you know what, your attention was attracted by those nice cars, if you pay attention to the public transportation like bus and subway, omg, I can guarantee you man, lots of people just take public transportation and don't even own a car. Anyway, it is still a developing country, average salary is far more behind developed country.
US$300,000 can't buy you a Merc S500 even in China and a Panamera will cost you US$200k. These sedans are everywhere in China I mean big cities. By comparison, supercars in US is pretty cheap so they just go there and buy. That's it. It doesn't mean you need a rich dad because a normal apartment in Shanghai will cost you over US$1.5m anyway
Back in the 90's, I thought all my asian friends rolling in Supra's, Mr2s, Rx7 (FD), 300ZX, and NSXs was something! We did have issues with Armenians trying to mess with us in their BMWs.

I agree, here in Seattle we have plenty of awesome Chinese students who are the best people but literally spec their gtr's to look like tokyo drift cars and sharp the hell out of them. Plus they NEVER WASH THEM
lol, it's so ridiculously cheap to own a supercar in America. where i'm from, a base spec aventador costs easily US1M before insurance. The SV and Aventador S is almost US1.5m if not more.

I live near Rodeo Dr. and see supercars all the time, is this really what they all do? Just park their cars with their friends and pose on the sidewalk? I see sooo many arabs/chinese in fancy cars it makes me wonder what the hell they're using 600-700+ hp supercars for.
Can someone explain the license plate system in the U.S to me? i see a lot of cars in these spotting videos without real plates, just something that says, for example, "Ferrari Newport Beach" is this legal? is it some sort of trade plate, im sure some of them dont even seem to have plates at all?
