Amerie voice is one of a Kind---It doesnt sound Similar to any other Female Vocalist. AMERIE VOICE IS SMOOTH Soothing AND HIGH JUST like Shakira and Mariah and Kat Deluna and many others who stand outta the Bunch...So Underated. 😥😩😥
Sure she still makes music. She is just not as popular as she was. She did the EP "Drive" in 2016 with some nice instrumental and even a fabolous feature, and she still put new music out like Redrum for example.And Yes Yasin you are right she also writing books.

I used to listen to this song all the time! I miss the fun kinda mainstream rap sometimes like this (Luda / bow wow / Nelly / LL, etc.) I mean even though they aren't really amazing lyricists or something, it was still FUN to listen to. Nowadays every rapper is either completely explicit, too serious or always talks about the "bizzle" like its always about hustling and making paper. So boring. Plus all these rappers I considered them more like R&B rap artists. Most of those songs had elements of 'slow jams' and weren't just 'hard beats'. Jamie Foxx is a good example of an artist that kinda keeps that same vibe even now, but there aren't many today that are popular.

I never considered them as amazing lyricists, no. I mean is there underground stuff from them I'm not aware of? Because I've only heard their radio bangers and it's very typical rap. Not hating on them I just never thought of them for their rap game. They were mainstream hit makers.

This album was great from start to finish, I was shocked. We would make fun of guys like Chingy in college but Hate It Or Love It is better than 90% of Rap Albums that come out today. That pretty much sums up the current state of rap/r&B music

I remember his one visit to Auckland NZ back in 03/04, was to a mall I worked at, I glanced out to the carpark just in time to see a Hummer Limo pull up and he got out, and I ran to the doors and just yellllled out (cos I was manning the back counter lol) "Hey Chingyyyy!" and he looked over & waved 🤣 I have never told that story hahaaaa makes my heart pound to this day 🤩 ..Hey, Chingy, where you at in 2022, honayyyy!🤭🙋♀️
