For this video we hop in the Chip Foose edition Ford F150 with a Roush supercharger on it! My question is, is the Foose edition worth the extra cash for it's rarity, extra body work, and Roush supercharger? The Harley Davidson supercharged F150 known as Shamu drives extremely similar, same with the legendary Ford Lightning. I've got an 05, 5.4 with a few mods but mostly stock. I love driving that truck! Even the stock engine has a lot of power and tons of torque. I can only imagine how fun it would be with a supercharger.

Dint think anyone would ever show appreciation for the 5.4 3v but for whatever it was worth someone actually thought it was worth putting a supercharger and the fact that he said it felt like more horse power than the Shamu truck makes me feel good to have my f150 06 5.4 3v cant wait to put a supercharger in it.

My friend has an 03 danali with an ls6 and a massive blower on top that makes like 700 whp and that thing will gap my 02 z06. Trucks like this thing are just fun, “it’ll pass anything but a gas station”

Luke V GM definitely make some great suvs. The cyclone, Tahoe, Yukon Denali, and my personal favorite, The Trailblazer SS. All of them with some basic mods can be fun daily drivers to crazy sleeper trucks.

Zach Plymale my old boss had one (GM at a few dealerships) and he had me use it to run an errand for him. If you like trucks it's a blast and it's pretty bloody quick, but im not a truck guy so I can't swallow a $106k MSRP

Admittingly, Ford has stepped up a good bit to make a difference in the better parts industry. Hopefully they can get better with not only making their parts but crafting their vehicles better with much progress.

The 4 speed transmission is a big let down in this generation, where the motor is so good (when working) but the transmission is so clunky. It needs at least two more gears.

Chip does great work. however, I wouldn't mod a 3v Ford knowing about the Coyote. also, I wouldn't take it to Chip to modify or buy it from Ford when you can take it directly to a shop(tuner) that could do the work for less. I would also have to have the brakes and suspension upgraded to handle the extra power although you didn't mention HP/TQ and other supporting mods.

Only differences are the headlights, tail lights and rims. Paint job and body kit come like that from factory. So kinda is a sleeper, most people don't know that it's supercharged unless they're familiar with the truck

TheeJoeyLee it was bad because I was looking to get one. They barely get better gas mileage than the full size trucks and it’s gone when hauling because of the smaller engine. A real shame.

David, PLEASE do yourself a favour and check out barra turbo motors in the Australian Ford Falcon. They are an 4ltr i6 turbo motor which is replacing the 2jz!

Dude this is a legitimate 6 cylinder replacement. Needs very minor mods to get over 600hp, cost less to get 1000hp than a jz and is capable of 2000hp on the standard block.

That is not the same steering wheel as the first gen raptor. It's the same wheel that my 08 Fx2 has. I don't know if my stock 5.4 liter has the same trans, but I can agree that sometimes the trans just isn't sure about where it wants to be.

I'd love to drive a lightning sometime. I'd drive this too, but I am not on board with the "foose" nameplate. He does great on one off builds (save for putting far too big a rim on a classic car), but this almost seems detrimental to his name. That supercharger tho... WHEEEEEEEE!

It will be fine to remove the cats... might sound more raspy on top end and will not pass emissions if you live in a testing area.

There will always be a person who claims they get 25mpg with their gas pickup. But for the most part mpg with a pickup isn't great. Those trucks where around 12/16 stock for 4x4. Not much worse then today really. But any time you put supercharged v8 on a 5500lb vehicle it wont be good. But that trucks got around 500chp and i bet it gets 10/15. Not that bad. Not really much worse then all these e85 converted project cars. I always liked these trucks. Thumbs up. Plastic inside and window switches would hold me back from buying it. Nice truck
