Double 'O Dale was a thing...in the original RR cartoon there is a whole episode titled Double 'O Chipmunk where Dale and Zipper went on a spy adventure.

This movie made me re-obsesse with my old favorite show from when I was a kid

I've said it before and I'll say it again this movie is the closest we will ever get to a Roger Rabbit spiritual successor.

Double o Dale was from the 80's rescue rangers episode about a mad Russian who wants to steal a flying tank,and Dale is the James bond character,and zipper is James's bond character's assistant,also takes stuff from this movie later,where chip,and Dale dress up as rats to get into sweets pea's place,that 80's episode was double o chipmunk.

Double-0 Dale is a reference to Double-0 Duck, a show concept that either died or evolved into Darkwing Duck depending on how you look at it. Not sure if a pilot was produced. Gadget and Zipper probably just played pattycake and then the stork arrived. Toon biology is...interesting, if Who Framed Roger Rabbit is any indication, and this seems to be kind of a legacy sequel. Interesting how Roger Rabbit hadn't aged between the 1940s and 1990s but Peter Pan has aged since the 1950s. Batman was voiced by Jorma Taccone of The Lonely Island. Akiva Schaffer directed the movie and Andy Samberg voiced Dale.

My favorite easter egg: The reason Lumiere is in the group of 'Barely noticed toons' is because it's a subtle jab at 'Belle's Magical World' a scrapped (and awful) television series of Beauty and the Beast about Belle's adventures in the castle. And if I'm wrong? Well, it's because Lumiere is awesome and Jeff Bennett needs to play as him more.

Born in late 80s and went to the theatres with my kids to watch this and let me say me and a few other parents my age agreed this movie is not as good as the original show. But hey it worked out my kids are watching rescue rangers now

A rare squalor happened, of course. The characters are like the pictures of a bad artist, flat and empty. The real creators would hardly have been satisfied. Facial expressions and forms are alien. There is no aesthetic admiration for this attempt at 3d expression. No grace or beauty. There is no depth and love, not an adequate plot. Inappropriate flat humor. A fierce mockery of the secret. An absurd untalented product without a sense of beauty, reminiscent of the very pirated products from the movie. They dumped everything in a heap and made an unintelligible dump. A bunch of some defective characters, like the Sonic who talks about the existence of the original Sonic, by the way ... They completely unreasonably mocked the key points, just for fun, only comedy is completely out of place here, like the comic creators. And all this, of course, under the sauce "We love the Rescuers." Well, well ... They couldn't do it, in general, for real, like at Disney. Only that picture was remembered, which hung on the wall at the "actor" Monty. And how wonderful it would be if the whole film was of this style and with an adequate plot. Luckily, this is not an original reality that could continue canon. To understand this substitution, which tried to continue the series, it is enough to see in the film an episode with the participation of Akiva Shaffer, who allegedly filmed the original series in 1990, be it wrong. For that alone, I thank him.
