That begs to answer the question, am I but a figment of the machinations within your own mind, at this moment of death a single one of it's compartmentalized memories unfolding relative to the sequences in which your life occurred and in absence of such, perhaps a vaguely generated figment of your imagination? Am I simply you telling yourself what it is you want to hear? Is this life in the present moment or is this the flash of retrospective experience you see before you die? Maybe. There is one inconclusive way to find out, try suicide. There must also be the question, what part of what aspect of you do I then represent? Am I your voice of reason? Am I the part of you that hates yourself? Am I some part of you that was dead before you were even born? What then did I represent and to what end apart from your own?

It is a threat. All of the -isms of the world have promised paradise, but where is that paradise? They tell you, "if only more people believed... oh no, that wasn't REAL -ism..." There will never be a paradise on earth because societies are made up of people. And people are fundamentally imperfect. You cannot build perfection out of imperfection. But the -ism zealots don't accept this. They insist that their -ism will lead to paradise, and whenever they're proven wrong they double down.

I cant believe they forced Alvin into the studio after he slammed his girlfriend with that fatal overdose. They had to shove him into the record label's car just as they shoved her stretcher into the ambulance. This recording perfectly captured the guilt he was trapped with inside the mic booth. Dying quietly, soul internally bleeding. Not knowing that by the time he laid this track down, she would be dead, and he would have to lay her down to rest, too.

One time my sister was like, "get a video for your niece when you go to blockbuster" and I was like, sure, so I got Alvin and the Chipmunks get a cat. It looked charming. So I put it on for my niece when I got home, she loved it! And then 20 minutes later I was in the kitchen and I heard her start scream crying. The cat dies at the end of the episode. My sister was pissed at me for not reading the back of the box where it literally said "Alvin and the Chipmunks learn how to deal with the loss of their friend gracefully." In my defense I rented A History of Violence and it was only ok, so everyone suffered.

This is the last thing Alvin had sang before he died from a ketamine overdose. My grandpa was there and he vividly remembered Alvin struggling to get words out before collapsing to the ground onstage. Before his death, Alvin was very aggressive towards The Chipettes and his other colleagues. I can’t blame him since aside from Simon, they’d constantly put him down and blame his drug habits on him all because he was too scared to quit. The Chipettes have moved on with their lives to start families, Theodore reportedly lives in Sweden, and Simon had unfortunately passed away from being hit on the head by an amplifier thrown by a fan. Dave still is in contact with Theodore, but he says that it’s been so long that he’s afraid that Theodore doesn’t want to associate with his former music career anymore. This video is simply a recreation of what the song would have sounded like had Alvin not collapsed onstage from the drugs in his system. Alvin wasn’t a jerk, he was just suffering and pushed away everyone around him. RIP to Alvin and Simon. 1958-1985 and 1967-1994 respectively.

@@alphalax7747 it isnt actually, it's an original chipmunks re-recorded cover of the original song (which itself was basically an original form of electronically pitching up vocals) then slowed down to achieve a 16th speed effect from an LP record player, you can call it lazy but there is more depth to it other than "oh they just slowed down the original song and added extra reverb i dont get it"
