Whew Jae…. It’s crazy how on key this is. Relationships ending because I’ve decided not to dim my light. Making myself uncomfortable by people pleasing & pacifying… I’ve literally lost multiple familial relationships because I’ve decided to step into setting boundaries. It feels like an alternate timeline. We just have to keep walking in our path and purpose. A shift is for sure happening whether we want it to or not!

I swear it’s like you say the right things at the right times every time!! Like you said, it’s comforting to know that even if you do feel “alone” you’re never really alone in what you’re feeling because someone somewhere can relate!

I am going through so much of this. So many of us as are once. Thank you for reminding me I’m not alone and to get back to what I truly love. God is truly moving us. It feels so strange and pure and hard and true and scary and peaceful. Friendships of 22 years ending, seeing how toxic those I thought I was bringing with me really are, dinning my light as to not shine brighter than my own loved ones. Parental even smh. I’m such a deep empath. It affects me so deeply. This has all been hard. Thank you I’m really not alone. I need to be around others who can shine their own light also. I can 100% relate to these thoughts and feelings @jaelah. More trust, less control! I think one of the reasons why many of us women, especially black women struggle with embracing this requirement of having a strong sense of self is because we have had to play the part at times, way before we had that established and as we got older and wiser, we learned that to do that may make us become either more or less “desirable.” And it can make it more difficult from a human perspective. However, we have to just go for it to reach our fullest potential.❤ Keep being you Jaelah! Long time follower here and will always cheer you on.

The lack of reciprocity especially when it’s not intentional is so disappointing and it makes not want to be around anyone even those people care for me. Jaelah, I feel you 1,000%. I'm a deep thinker as well, but when you mention being a LIGHT and how the LIGHT can also cast "SHADOWS." I'm noticing as we peel back and get to the root cause of our lesions. It's inevitable for our light to become brighter, and what comes with that is attracting people with unhealed wounds. People are drawn to light until it makes them uncomfortable and triggers their traumas. Light exposes everything that is hidden. I don't think it's our fault to feel the unspoken words or people's intentions even when people are trying to show us something different. It's a gift to be able to see directly through a person and into their subconscious. I'm currently learning to trust my discernment and what my body is trying to communicate to me whenever I am around people who aren't for me. I can literally feel how genuine your heart is, and it's beautiful. Thank you for sharing parts of yourself with us. Asé ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

The best thing you can do is let go and let God. And you really do have to watch how you use your light, both for yourself and around other people.
