Hi Joy-el, give content that makes you happy. I love all content about hair, decorating, everyday stuff. Everything doesn't have to be heavy. Whatever your comfortable with. Blessings to you
I run several mixed based groups so I get it, its intimidating discussing our issues and sad at times but I've been doing it 10+ years and its rewarding for those I do help. For the record I think your perfect to run a mixed channel and discuss our issues.
Hi! I just wanted to let you know that Olaplex has a class action lawsuit against them for hair damage right now. Just wanted to let you know so you can make an informed decision, regardless of whether you decide to purchase from them or not. I have never tried their products so I cannot contribute to the discussion around their safety or benefits.
Yes I heard about that but I'm wondering why other RU-vidrs haven't. That stuff was placed on my hair once years ago maybe when it first came out and it was a nightmare for me at least.
I use olaplex ever so often and it works well. It’s important to use it when necessary. I’ve used it when when I had very mild heat damage and I use it now when I see my hair breaking a bit too much along with the aphogee 2 step. It’s very concentrated so I doubt it’s something to use consistently as a lot of women use it and then complain about issues after.
Joyel Please check out black girl curls!!! All you need to do is shampoo, condition and style your hair with a mousse for braid outs and twist outs your hair will be amazing
I think you should keep up your channel and make it for mixed viewers and for their parents and families, or any other people who are interested. You could include helpful tips on difficult situations that has helped you or tips or outlooks that you wish you knew before. Maybe have positive mixed guests and help promote their channels and message as well. It doesn't all have to be doom and gloom or only talking about negative experiences but also focus on and highlight the positives of being biracial. Its sad that a lot of conversations of race, mixed identity, upbringing/family turns into something that might bring up negative discourse or online fighting. Whatever you choose with the other channel, it should make you feel comfortable as well. Take care!
In case you're interested in a dandruff suggestion: As I Am Dry & Itchy scalp oil has been a lifesaver for me. I apply it on my wash day and then every 2-3 days/as needed. It really soothes my itchniness and my flakes have improved over 90%. I know the annoying woes of the itchy scalp as the week comes to an end and it drove me crazy for too long.
I absolutely love that I’ve been able to watch your hair thrive in the last few years! My hair grows quite quickly but I’m finding the bottom half of my hair is growing quickly and the top half is stagnant. They are different hair types but pretty sure it’s the same porosity throughout my hair. I was wondering if you had any tips on how to treat this? Or minimise breakage on the top half of my hair? I think I’m careful when detangling everywhere, i moisturise my hair regularly, wash it weekly or every fortnight… but now I think of it, I put my hair in twists 99% of the time and then tie it up in a bun. Could the bun be damaging it? I wouldn’t say I tie my hair in a bun too tight. Sorry for the long comment. Love your content very much x
Have you tried using pure tea tree oil as a pre-wash scalp treatment. I’ve always had dandruff and at one point it was almost like scab plates (big, huge, quarter sized scales that I could lift off in one piece). Medicated shampoo was too harsh for my sensitive scalp and course hair. Tea tree oil has been the best treatment I’ve ever used. I put it in an old Dove hand soap bottle with a multi-fingered nozzle I got of Amazon. The bottles those nozzles come with are so flimsy, they aren’t worth squat but the Dove bottle holds up beautifully and fits the nozzle perfectly. I just put in on my scalp, rub it in, and leave it on about 15” before shampooing (about every 6 week for my hair and a deep conditioning steam treatment to restore moisture) or co-washing.

For drilling new holes for a cabinet take tape and stick the new drawer handles in it and that's how you measure it. But if you already know this disregard my comment
Hi Joy el how are you ? Have you tried carols daughter wash day delight that comes with a clarifying shampoo and a jelly to cream conditioner. The conditioner is amazing because it has aloe vera and glycerin. Aloe vera is very moisturizing and gets rid of itchiness. Yes I think u can do a test run about bi racial or mixed chicks lol. If u don't like how it turns out then don't post it live. Yes try olaplex on your ends. I use oraplex 0 and 3 home treatment and the shampoo and conditioner. It is really good.
