I have died and gone to heaven. Finally a carrot cake without pineapple. My daughter and is allergic to it! The chocolate is a bonus. You make baking such a joy.
I never heard of a carot cake with pineapple🤔 the only reason someone would put it in there is so the cake isn't that dry..but you can use so many other things for that🤦🏻♀️😅
I just made this for a friends birthday. She couldn't decide between chocolate cake and carrot cake. It was a huge hit and everyone loved it. They also commented on the icing which everyone felt was the perfect compliment and not too sweet. Thanks you!

If you dont have a scale or cant eyeball the carrots, I’ve mastered pausing videos and using clues. I paused it and counted the carrot tops on the counter he used roughly about nine carrots from that perspective ❤️ hope this helps and LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE CONTENT THAT YOU DO. I tried this because I got your book last year and i tried a bunch of things from your book!Perfection!But this cake is one of the few things i didn't enjoy eating,it looked very similar to yours as i followed the instructions and ingredients,but I just did not like the frosting.It tasted like plain sugar.Definitely gonna try another frosting because the cake itself was really nice.I don't doubt yours tasted better.Can't wait for your next book if there will be one!!
Here in Brazil we also have our own carrot cake, it doesn't get dark that way 'cause we beat the carrots in the blender along with the ingredients and fill or put chocolate or brigadeiro cover (brigadeiro is a typical candy made with chocolate, condensed milk and butter) , it is divine, you need to try it ❤️❤️

I have made 3 recipes from the book.. roast chicken from fall; pork tenderloin; and meatballs. All great! Tomorrow going to do spring recipe..Mahi.. The glaze for the pork..was so simple; but So tasty. Just loving the cookbook!! My daughter cooks out of it also..really enjoying the book.

I just want to say that your recipes have a 100% success rate on my end. I tried following many recipes online for many things but the food/desserts would always turn out "edible" but nothing like what it was described to be. Seeing you make it on video with no weird cut-ins/cut-outs (seeing the flow of how it should go, basically) also gives me a little confidence boost. Like an, "aha, I can make this too!" kind of feeling. So I just want to say, thanks. :D I hope (and know!) that your cookbook will sell super well.

I baked this as a gluten free recipe using a One-2-One flour. Needed to increase the applesauce to 1 1/4C which worked great. I’m not fond of the flavor profile. The spices and chocolate don’t play well for my taste buds. It was certainly worth a try. It may be something you really love. I’d hesitate just giving it to someone because it wasn’t a slam dunk yummy. The candied carrots require practice but they ARE yummy. And I didn’t have near the number of spoons in my inventory to curl those carrots on! I ordered your book!

I made this for my birthday yesterday, it was totally delicious! And super fitting since my birthday was during easter! Also, I ended up using the syrup for the curled carrots in order to make an experimental sort of lemonade type drink. I realized while making those carrots that the procedure was very similar to how you'd normally make lemonade, so I figured why not? The carrot-y taste is actually surprisingly nice in a drink IMO.

You pipe quite frequently, and it seems extremely intimidating to me. It would really be wonderful to get calm, informative instruction on how to pipe correctly and what equipment you need. thank you!
Hi John, carrot cake is my favorite cake, I get it every year for my birthday. I have never heard of chocolate carrot cake. I baked this cake for the office, and people loved it so much. Unfortunately, in Germany, I couldn't find the brick cream cheese, and using the tube ones made my frost really runny, even after cooling it, but all in all, it was a very pleasant experience :)

Omg. I love German chocolate cake. I just sent the video to my daughter. We both are awesome cooks but my daughter is way better baker than I am. Hopefully she can find time between raising her toddler and newborn. 😂 guess I’m grandma sitting that day.
Pre-ordered. I plan to make this cake for my birthday later this month. I'll even try the candied carrots. This looks like a classy Halloween (my bday) sort of cake, and since my favorite is chocolate and my Brian's is carrot, I'm hoping this combo is as perfect as a Reese's PB cup (dark version natch).
