Double layer chocolate | chocolate mousse | easy recipe | sweets | ganache
Ingredients:
Making Chocolate Ganache:
Dark chocolate - 1 cup (finely chopped)
Cream - 1/4 cup
Instant coffee - 1 tsp
Salt - pinch
Softened butter - 1 tbsp
Method:
Making Chocolate Ganache:
1. Keep 2 cups of water in a pan on high flame.
2. Bring this to boil.
3. Once it boils, turn off the flame.
4. Place a bowl on top of this pan.
5. Transfer all the ingredients (above mentioned) to the bowl.
6. Begin to stir and let this melt completely.
7. Remove the bowl and keep it aside for cooling.
Making Chocolate Mousse:
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp of raw sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Chocolate ganache - made earlier
Method:
Making Chocolate Mousse:
1. In another pan add 1/2 cup whipping cream and 2 tbsp of raw sugar to this along with 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
2. Whip until soft peaks.
3. Add 1/2 of chocolate ganache. Whip again.
4. Now add the remaining ganache to this, keeping 1 teaspoon for later use if you decide to do the optional steps.
5. Mix again until fluffy and smooth.
6. Fill the serving glass halfway with the prepared chocolate mousse.
7. If you decide to skip the optional step, you can refrigerate this chocolate mousse for 3 hours instead. But if you wish to try the optional step, you can proceed to refrigerate the mousse after completing the optional steps.
Optional Step to make lighter chocolate mousse:
1/2 cup whipping cream
2 tbsp of raw sugar
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Chocolate ganache - 1 tsp
1. Fill the serving glass halfway with the prepared chocolate mousse.
2. In a pan add 1/2 cup whipping cream and 2 tbsp of raw sugar to this along with 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
3. Whip until soft peaks.
4. Add a tsp of chocolate ganache. Whip again.
5. Mix again until even, fluffy and smooth.
6. Layer the small serving glasses with the chocolate mousse, which has been filled halfway, and carefully spoon the lighter chocolate mousse mixture on top to complete the filling.
7. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
8. Top with cocoa powder or any fruits of your choice and serve.
