When my kids were little we didn't have much money. One thing we did was bake a cake and decorate it. Then we had a birthday party for Jesus! It was a low cost meaningful way to celebrate the day!
I think some of your best videos are when you have a hard time doing it and show us how you handle that issue. Because I usually have some type a hard time with any kind of recipe. Watching you today, really helps. Because no doubt my pin wheel isn’t going to go easy either. And I won’t feel so stupid. Best wishes and hugs.
My entire family got sick before Thanksgiving. We all got a bronchial infection. We had our Thanksgiving dinner this Sunday. Thank the Lord we’re all better now. This peanut butter fudge pinwheel looks so delicious. I hope you get over this bug. God bless you and your family.
I had that same virus. It took me 3 weeks to get past it. I don't think my wife minded that I couldn't talk very much for about a week lol. Glad y'all are ok. It's a nasty bug for sure.
Oh, the struggle will always be in my videos lol If you leave it in the refrigerator just a little longer it wouldn't have been such a struggle, but I was trying to include all of the steps in the video.
This is what I've needed! I've spent entirely too much money on store-bought treats. With this, I can make my own for cheaper. Thank you Miss Becky and God bless...🇺🇸 👍☕
@@debra7449 I used a small pot and a large corelle bowl but any large bowl will work. Bring the water to a boil and remove the pot from the heat. There will be enough heat to melt the chocolate without burning it. Be careful not to get moisture in the chocolate.
I made this over the holidays with homemade, sweetened condensed milk, & it turned out so amazing. I didn't want to wait for it to cool between layers (especially since my homemade milk was hot & ready to melt the chips), so I just placed the parchment paper down, rolled the 1st layer between 2 sheets, slid the 1st layer from the pan, added parchment again, rolled the 2nd layer between 2 sheets & rolled/removed too, then I placed the 1st layer back in the pan, removed the top parchment, removed layer 2s bottom parchment, added layer 2 to layer 1& pressed the layers together... they were still warm, so they welded together great & were easy to handle this way. After pressing together, I rolled, & then let cool before cutting! Such an amazing treat everyone loved, & I was able to save quite a bit making the milk myself, since I couldn't find it in my pantry & wasn't trekking out to the store again... LOL!
Becky, you are so dear & loving and sensitive to those on a budget. You are spreading the good news in a gentle & loving way. People need to hear this. Thank you❣️
Your words about the true meaning of Christmas, are so wonderful. Thank you! I do not need anything and I ask family to give to a food bank or charity rather than giving me a gift. I give away the gifts that they continue to give.
One year, my mother in law gave us girls items she had accumulated thru the years, many still in the packaging. I loved getting things like that from her. I miss her dearly.
Would you happen to have an easy recipe for penuche fudge? Since I moved from Massachusetts to Arizona it seems nobody makes penuche fudge here. No nuts please 😊
I think I'll make this for my Grandma's Christmas gift. She's hard to buy for, but she loves chocolate and peanut butter. Fudge is also a big favorite for her. This looks like a winner!
This is a great recipe, thank you so much. One little tip though; if you take the first layer out of the tin, you can roll out the second layer in the same way you did the first, then put the two layers together afterwards, it makes it much easier :) Much love to you all x
Thank you for that verse. John 3:16. I needed that. I lost my sister on May 10th, very unexpectedly, and my Mother on May 12th, just 2 days later. It doesn't feel that much like Christmas to me, this year. To be reminded of the true meaning is just what I needed to hear. Merry Christmas, from Ontario, Canada.
That is so sad… May God’s Peace and Love surround you this holiday season! I know how that pain feels. I lost my oldest daughter, two sisters and two brothers all in a close range of time… Holidays are definitely not holidays anymore but I do keep my heart and mind on Christ… The real reason for the season… He sustains me and His precious blood covers my sins everyday, His Mercy is new every day… And because of this, we will see our family again… And that keeps me going… For each day is one day closer to being with our loved ones again! 🙏🏼❤️🤗❤️🙏🏼 Merry Christmas from Avon, Ohio… By the way, my youngest daughter lives in Quebec… Canada is beautiful!
New subscriber here! I am so happy to have found a Southern lady who cooks like my family enjoys. The Christian teachings are the icing on the cake! God bless you and thank you for remembering our King and His sacrifice. Merry Christmas 🎄
I’m going to try this, but I think I will spread each layer in separate pans and chill just long enough so the layers will stick once put together, then roll! TFS! After seeing you trying to roll, I’m using non-stick reynolds wrap and hope that makes it easier to roll!
I think it looks difficult for a beginner,, ,would give me stress and headache,,,prolly would mess it up and be out those ingredients ! I better buy something at store,,,,sorry....
@MsFlowergurl I made this over the holidays with homemade, sweetened condensed milk, & it turned out so amazing. Becky I want to thank you so much for the cranberry cream cheese dip recipe...it was the biggest hit last week (even more than the turkey)! I added an additional ½ cup chopped pecans on the top bc we love nut, so it turned out to be a pretty layered dip, as well! Grateful for this new recipe tradition. 🙏💖✨
This looks so yummy! I think when I make it I will do the second layer on top of the first with a layer of paper between. When it is all spread out I'll just flip it over before rolling. Knowing my rate of mistakes this will just ensure success in the end product. My Christmas is totally different from the way it's always been. I've always been blessed with the most loving, close Christian family. Yet for the last 9 years everything has changed so much. For the first time ever there is division between all family members and my health has taken a plunge. God has blessed me with still having a great relationship with Daddy, my kids & grandchildren. We are largely divided by miles but the love is strong. My son still lives with me and is my caretaker. Without having any gatherings it makes it easier to keep my focus of Christmas on the blessing of the birth of our Savior! It was difficult to look at it this way for a while but if I keep my focus in the right spot I can see how God truly has the perfect plan for me ! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season full of the love of our amazing Lord & Savior!
I never have luck with fudge but this looks doable. I'm going to add chopped nuts so I hope it works. Thanks Becky for all your recipes, time and love of God that you share. God bless and keep you and your family 🙏🕊💜🤍🤍
I didn’t either until I started using this fudge recipe probably 20 years ago. I add a tsp of vanilla and chopped walnuts. It’s really delicious I’m excited to try it in the roll!
I can't tell you how much it means to me that you witness in every video! Thank you so much for sharing the love of Jesus Christ! As each year passes I love Him even more! When my children were young I gave them lavish Christmas gifts. I now believe that was the wrong way to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. As every parent, when the kids are young, you just want to give them everything. I always instilled faithfulness to God and going to church. But what is the most important thing is to have a personal relationship with Jesus! Thank you for sharing your recipes and taking time to show us the process. God bless you!❤🙏😘🍽
Becky..Thank You so much for the Great recipes and your faith filled channel. I am so Blessed I found it. Thank You again and God Bless you and your family. love from Kansas🥰
I haven’t read all the comments, but I was thinking you may be able to roll out the second layer the same way as the first layer (also by itself between 2 parchments). Then lay one on top of the other and roll. ? Worth a try ? Thank you for the recipes and encouragement
I let the first layer set in the fridge for 5 minutes as you suggested and it rolled up great. It is in the fridge now. This will be great for a Christmas Parade Station we are having at the church. We open the church to the public and everything is free(cookies, candy, hot chocolate, cider and coffee). Our way of giving back to the town. Yesterday, a house fire took the lives of a mother and father of three children in our small town of Jonesborough, Tn. The oldest child broke a window and saved his 10 yr old brother and 7 yr old sister. We will have a donation jar with the proceeds going to help these children. They lost everything. Please say a prayer for this family. We are all heart broken. I can’t imagine what these children must be going through. If anyone would like to donate, please send to Jonesborough Presbyterian Church c/o children of fatal house fire PO Box 383 Jonesborough Tn 37659. Thank you!
My daughter got a virus 1st right after Thanksgiving, shes better but still has an occasional cough. Hubby got it about a wk after our daughter, now hes getting a script for an eye infection along with the bad cough. I hope you recover completely quickly. Merry Christmas to you & your family.
Sis, thank you for the words of encouragement! I really needed to hear it. My health hasn't been well. I hope you get to feeling better. Thank you for your recipe's. I always love watching and learning. God Bless you!
You could even make this as chocolate with a cherry center using cherry chips, or white chocolate with ground up maraschino cherries 🍒 😋 thanks for the recipe
I think it would work to spread out the second layer on top of a piece of wax paper, then, just turn it over on top of the chocolate layer, and peal the wax paper you pressed it on. I think this recipe is fantastic! Thank you! Merry Christmas!
I hope you are better soon. This is something unique my son would love, another thing he loves is chocolate mint. I can use vanilla chips and mint flavoring for that Andes mint taste without the green dye. Thanks, Becky! ❤
Thank you for your kind encouragement. I am now sick and disabled and no longer able to do the things I used to. I was beginning to panic, thinking about everything that needed to be done for Christmas. This was just the reminder that I needed. I hope you feel better real soon!
Maybe if you lift out the first layer with its parchment, then put the other piece of parchment in the Pan and spread out the peanut fudge out lift out the peanut butter fudge, then put the chocolate fudge back into the pan and top with the peanut butter layer
❤absolutely love your sincere attitude! my family has struggled emotionally and physically in the last several years and seems can't get any worse at times. I wish there were more caring people in the world like u. thank u❤
Merry Christmas Becky! Couldnt you roll the second layer out in another pan of the same size and just lay it on top the choc layer? Maybe put it in the oven for a minute so they melt tobether, they put it all in the fridge?
This is such a great recipe. Thanks for showing us how you worked through it. You are truly a blessing to me and I pray God will bless you for being kind to others. Merry Christmas 🎄
Becky you are so right, it’s not about the gifts, trees all the commercial things it about Gods love. A time to reflect on his love and be with family and friends.
Hi Becky, I love your videos and recipes! I am wondering if you microwave oven is 900 or 1100 watt. I want to make pinwheel for church gathering next week.. And do you have a recipe or video for microwave peanut brittle? And if so is what watt microwave does it call for? Keep up the great videos but most of all keep spreading the Good News! God bless you and your family.
This looks amazingly good. I will save it for another time because I just finished making 6 varieties of cookie dough that will be baked a week before Christmas. Hope you feel better soon Becky and have a Blessed Christmas.
Those sound amazing... I was smart & found a Bar Cookie recipe, & made several versions for my holiday baking so I didn't have to change cookie sheets. So for the 1st time in several years, I actually got to do the holiday baking myself with only supervision & assistance from my Caregivers. It was wonderful.... IDK why I never thought of doing those b4, of course, I slept for 2 wks after I was done, but... it was really nice to be back in the kitchen for a time
