Its one of my fav's Desi. We make like 6 pies😂 on Thanksgiving and they are all gone at the end of the day. My Inner fat kid is wanting to make another chocolate pie lol.
My favorite puddings to use for pies are the banana cream and pistachio flavors. I also like to use a Graham cracker crust. So easy cause no baking is required and there's never any leftover pudding pies. Of course I bake several different homemade pies as well. But the pudding pies are BY FAR the easiest dessert to prepare for thanksgiving. Especially when using instant pudding (no cooking required) and the pre-made Graham cracker crust.
This looks easy enough, but I've never made one of these before. I've read previous comments that these pies don't set and are really runny. I wish you could have showed you cutting the pie and taking a peice out to prove that it can be done!! I mean, it looks delicious!
Thanks - is that really just 3/4 c of milk? It looks like the measuring cup was filled to the top line - maybe either 1 cup or 2 cups?? The recipe on the box now calls for 3 cups-
Soooooo when I make this if I play with the pie crust...is it now play dough???? LOL Love chocolate pudding and chocolate pie. Will definitely be making this for the holidays. Oh by the way...KB and I are planning a catch clean and cook in the near future. Watch for it.
Haha ya, I guess you can say play dough 🤣. Its one of my favorite pies during the holidays. I cant wait to see it, I would live to see how you guys prep and cook it. My Dads a fisherman, but he is more of a bass fiaherman. I didnt have the fish fries growing up. I had to learn everything on my own.
We make this with instant pudding and fold Cool Whip in the pudding and put it all in a graham cracker crust. Top with more whipped cream. Disappears in minutes! 😂
Hi Linda, that sounds good to. Instant pudding is fine also, anything to make it easier is key in my opinion. This pie didn't last either, as soon as it cooled my kids were on it lol.
I got a taste of how its going to be on Thanksgiving day last week. I had multiple cooks going on making my turkey recipe. It definitely helps doing some of the food the day before.
