The 2:30 dropping of the shoulder by looking INTO him to turn and look at him crucial detail in order to be ale to get the wrapping hand in position also The leg detail is seen best at 4:30 important point of not thinking of an ezekiel as will mess it up
Glad you made another video. I’m like 0-10 on this choke but I will prevail. Was doing knuckles to the neck and squeezing which because of sweat would cause me to lose grip and move to something else. I’ll get it one day
It’s a long process. Keep pairing it together with your arm triangle and your gonna find some success with it. And make sure you are drilling it and getting the feel for it. If you just try it in rolling it’s gonna be tough to learn it
Ah, look towards the choke! I've been trying my darndest to hit the ol Mccgahren Special, but it turns into me forcing my fist into the trachea at a really weak angle. I'm thinking Ezekiel, just like you told us not to 😅 maybe I should see it more as an enhanced von flue? Tomorrow I'll try to hit it right!
For the bottom man - Get that other foot inside his thigh as a butterfly hook and get ready to trap the cross face arm for bail out insurance. With double under hooks, a butterfly hook and a trapped arm so you should be able to escape or sweep before the pain begins
On this choke , von flue choke , arm triangle , I really cant ever seem to get the correct pressure on the artery we put our shoulder into. I've had multiple black belts and people who are good at this show me but i still just don't get it. It's like I'm zoolander and i just cant turn left. Any tips that might help a little boy reach his dream of sending people to Lalaland
Grab a patient and experienced partner and ask them if you can try this on them: Punch choke, starting in mount. Go as slowly as possible. No squeeze allowed. 1. Set the choke perfectly from mount, usine your right fist in the throat and your left shoulder in the throat. 2. Place your right leg back into your partners half guard 3. Have the partner slowly apply the lockdown. 4. Keep the punch choke grip. Still no squeezing 5. Have partner stretch the lockdown in super slow motion, moving your body down. 6. This should allow you to FEEL the punch choke and correct shoulder placement. Good luck
Yea it’s possible. I don’t recommend it though unless you’re ready to sell out and finish. In my opinion, it’s better to drop the sub and keep top position
Seems like when he gets the underhook he can sweep me. Do I then stop the choke and post with my right arm so avoid being swept ? Sorry, white belt question. Thx !
As your sensitivity for weight distribution and having fluid hips increases, you’ll feel that you don’t have to let go to stay on top. But you’re absolutely right that if I feel I’m gonna get swept, let go and stay on top. Top is king.
