I needed a new sprocket and clutch for my 420cc motor so I legit bought all of these clutches plus 4 sprockets, then today this video is in my recommended
I’m rebuilding my mini bike and have already bought 4 separate pieces that don’t fit… 😂 And now I only have a week before deadline to order new parts. If I mess up one more time I’m screwed
They really need to mention the rpm range of engagement...I built a stage 4 212cc predator..with a much bigger cam... these typical clutches engage around 2200-2500 rpms...not sure if gopower sells the 3500 rpm clutches or not, but I will say, that they are available on the market...
Lol I’m using a12 tooth clutch with a 420 chain no master link and it actually runs but not a good idea Cain grinding her end there but I’m ordering the right set up now going back to 10 tooth with 420 chain 😂
You got the tape measure upside down. Also. I ordered a HD clutch from you. Almost every site had the dimensions in the specs, but your site didn't, and it was too wide to fit my Coleman BT200X and wouldn't slide far enough onto the shaft because it hit not only the chain tensioner bracket but also the top lip of the jackshaft mount that bolts onto the engine. I called you, or wrote an email and you said I could send it back for a refund but I had to pay the shipping AND there'd be a 'Restocking Fee. Never shop with GPS's again!
Awesome, thanks! I´m building a Gokart for my kids with a 3hp motor with a 5/8" shaft. What chain standard is the easiest to find parts for? I´m gonna need to try out a variety sprockets to make the speed just right. My wife would kill me if the kids ran over the cat. Thanks!
I want to put a horizontal shaft engine on a lawnmower frame to PULL a cutting deck, what would be the BEST axle sprocket tooth size to use with one of these clutches?
Do you have a video explaining what clutch I would need for motor size increments? Such as if I get a go kart and it has a 5 horse motor and I wanna put a 10 horse how do I know how heavy of a clutch to get
Are there different clutches. Do they make a heavy-duty clutch for go Kart or are they all they same? I have a 2 seat Go Kart and because of the weight and being a 5hp engine, I was looking for a heavy-duty clutch.
I’m building a old gokart and it has a sprocket on the axle but I’m putting a China made Honda clone on it, I’m guessing I measure the sprocket on the axel also tooth to tooth to make sure I get the right chain also? Am I right or does that matter
I found some anomalies regarding overall width (my original 3/4" 420 off of a 196 hisun, a new replacement came in the mail, 3/4" bore 420, for my predator 224). My question, should the bronze bushing extend slightly past the pto shaft, so the clutch bolt washer contacts that 1st, not the crankshaft end? Sorry if the question sounds dumb, I'm new to small engines..
I have a mini bike with a predator 212 bought it used. Chain snapped I think I tightened to much . Now trying to find which chain I should buy. I measured the inside spoke point to point it's 3/8 . Now u say I need a 35 inch one or ?
Hello I just naught a power fist 79cc engine I’m looking for a clutch but I want to make sure the clutches key fits on the motor and I’m not sure how to figure that out the key slot on the engine doesn’t go the whole way back
I have a question so my minibike bogs down because we took the governor off and will be going fast will be doing good and then all of a sudden it will just like stay at one speed instead of speeding up to its normal speed how do I fix this
Jetted carb, less restrictive intake, less restrictive exhaust, stronger valve springs, billet flywheel, billet rod, billet pushrods, and you might as well as advance the timing while you're at it.
You guys have a video how to remove a clutch. I try to remove the bolt and the crankshaft just spins. Is there a special tool that that holds. It while the bolt can loosen?
You need the 3/4 in centrifugal clutch bore.. my son put a 212 predator hemi on his Coleman and had to buy another centrifugal clutch which is t10 3/4 in
Is there anything I need to know on upgrading to better clutches, and the pros/cons of 6, 4, or 3 puck clutches? (I believe that term applies here aswell)
My Tecumseh 6.0hp on a Murray explorer frame seems to start moving right after I start it so I have to hop on quick after I pull the starter cord. I’m pretty sure my idle adjustment on the carb is broken and the clutch may be bad. It also sputters at low rpm and lurches sometimes. After I get going it runs really good (25-30 mph), but it seems like after I slow down for a turn and try to step back on it, it will hesitate and then only get up to about 20mph. The left rear wheel (nearest to drive belt) has a slight wobble as well. Also needs to be shook forwards and backwards after it’s parked in order to move it. Brakes don’t engage until 3/4 of the way to the floor. Any advice/lists for what needs to be repaired/replaced would be greatly appreciated.
How u doin????i have a 212cc predator motor n a 3/4 clutch but im wondering if u can give me da size of the bolt i need for the clutch....thanks on asvance
Just bought a Coleman CT200U and there is nothing in the owners manual (specifications) about the size of the centrifugal clutch.. can someone help me ? Thanks !!
Didn’t help that’s easy to figure out what we need to know is what clutch engages at 3500 rpms and up those ones engage speed at 2200 rpms no good for predators, they need 3500 rpms and up
i have the second clutch from left, that is a 12T 3/4inch clutch on a 208cc 6.5hp Briggs and Stratton engine with a 60T rear sprocket for 5:1 gear ratio. My kart weighs 140kg with driver and has 11 inch rear tyres. When we run the kart, the clutch gets extremely hot and sparks are seen coming out of it but we stopped it from burning out and turning blue/purple. I have oiled it properly and checked the chain tension but still it gets extremely hot in 15 minute runs. We try to run it at full throttle to let it cool down but now the friction pads have expanded and get engaged at low rpms. Please suggest some ideas to make it run longer and cooler.
If you have a CVT they run pretty much dry so you may want to check to see if you need oil in the first place, look up some videos to be double sure because if the parts are sliding too much with oil or grease then they will get really hot and get little traction.
I'm building a bike and I have a 38 tooth sprocket on the rear I'm turning a Schwinn chopper bike I took the front fork and the rear end and I basically need to know what size centrifugal clutch do I need I know it's 3/4 bore but I need to know what size spacing in teeth that I need for my 38 tooth sprocket and my clutch
If my go-kart that i got doesnt have a clutch, would i need to just measure the shaft from the engine? I have the chain, but no clutch on my Murray Go-Kart. I currently have a Tecumseh OHH60 engine.
I’m a little late but if you have a Murray explorer with the Tecumseh 6.0hp that is badass. I just found my uncles old one in the barn and finished getting it running but the clutch is going bad and I’m replacing it soon. If you still need the info I’m looking at mine tomorrow and I can give you specs of mine
I am using a 12T, 3/4" clutch from Go Power Sports for an engineering design project in college. I was wondering if you know the width of the clutch? Working with limited space and can't find a spec sheet anywhere online. Thanks!
