The LG QNED 86 will be amazing for brightness, colour accuracy, and versatility across different viewing environments, but it's just so hard to go past the deep blacks, infinite contrast, and a cinematic experience the C2 will provide. It's a hard choice but I'd be picking the C2! 😉

Great video VP! Quick question I can't seem to find the answer from your Q&A below: I have a bright room with a lot of reflection AND need a very wide viewing angle (kitchen/dining is adjacent to TV living room). OLED is also out of my budget for the size I want 98"+. What type of TV should I get? I tried a 98" TLC UHD TV, but returned it immediately since the brightness was so dim when viewing from the adjacent kitchen view (but the view was great when looking at the TV directly). Would a 100" QLED solve my problem?
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 2 месяца назад
Hi Kevin, yes, a QLED TV would be a great solution for your space. If budget permits we'd recommend the Samsung 98" QN90D Neo QLED 4K Smart TV due to its QLED panel, Mini LED backlighting, and wide viewing angle feature. This will offer the best brightness and contrast to compete with glare and reflections.

Is a QNED a good option for a living room? I understand that the QLED would be the better option but you mention QNED combines great qualities from both. So I’m guessing for my living room with big windows but also very dark at night then the QNED would be great, correct? Thank you for the video btw very clear explanation
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 4 месяца назад
Good question Evelyn, If you're looking for a high-quality display that can perform well in both bright and dark rooms, you might want to consider QNED/QLED models with Mini LED dimming. These models offer improved brightness and contrast, which makes them an excellent choice for combating glare in brighter living areas. Additionally, they provide a great cinematic experience at night with the ability to turn off the backlight behind darker scenes. The LG QNED86 TV series and Samsung QN85C TV Series can both be a good choice for these situations. Hope this helps!

So, When price doesn't matter, which is better, QLED or QNED? Also, if my tv is not surrounded by windows or heave sunlight environment, does that mean the best suitable tech for this situation is OLED? Thanks for the informative video.
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 5 месяцев назад
Good Question! If the room doesn't have any glare or sunlight, and budget isn't so much of an issue then I would recommend an OLED display. This type of display has individually lit pixels, which results in better colours and contrast. Currently, OLED displays are unbeatable in the right viewing environment. Hope this helps!

@videopro_au
@videopro_au Месяц назад
Hi @prasadskitchen5858 , with this question unfortunately there is no clear winner. For deeper blacks and contrast, consider LG's QNED TVs with Mini LED technology. For vibrant colors and wider model availability, Samsung's QLED TVs are a strong choice. You won’t be disappointed with either option. 😊

@videopro_au

Both QLED and QNED panels provide an excellent gaming experience, as they both support HDMI 2.1 for auto low latency mode (ALLM) and variable refresh rate (VRR). We recommend choosing the premium models, such as the Samsung QN90 or QNED86, for superior colors and contrast whilst gaming. Hope this helps!

Informative, However I am confused between LG C3 and Samsung S90C. I am planning to buy for the living room, There won't be much direct sunlight however room would be bright. Or Shall I go with Sony X90L as room is a bit bright. Thanks in advance ❤️
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 2 месяца назад
Hi @sarthakbansal5195 the Sony X90L would be a better choice for your bright living room as it has a brighter backlit display. This makes it ideal for watching shows and movies during the daytime. OLED displays offer better colors and contrast, but they are best suited for darker rooms with minimal light or reflection. Depending on the type of content you will be watching, it would be best to choose your preferred display technology and make some changes to your viewing environment, such as adding curtains to the room. I hope this helps!

No worries Sarthak. If I had to choose between the LG C3 and the Samsung S90C, I would prefer the LG C3 due to its natural picture quality and motion. It is an excellent choice for general everyday viewing of free-to-air programming and streaming services. Although the difference between the two models is minimal, I recommend visiting your nearest store and comparing them yourself if possible!

So between a qned and a qled the qned is the better option?
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 11 месяцев назад
Both panel display technologies will provide a great viewing experience, but If budget constraints did have a factor in your purchase decision then the entry-level QNED panels would win our pick over the entry-level QLED panels. Why? The difference lies in the backlight technology used in QNED and QLED TVs. All QNED TVs use a full array backlight with mini LEDs, while QLED TVs rely on edge lighting and don't use mini LEDs. The smaller backlighting zones provided by the QNED panels can offer better colors and deeper contrast for a more detailed image.
@prospera93
@prospera93 7 месяцев назад
QNEDs are absolutely bad. First of all LG is using IPS panels which have less contrast and a bad black performance and the most critical thing is that LGs local dimming algorithm is very bad. If you want a good LCD tv with an excellent performance you should consider buying a Sony X95L or Samsung QN95C. They are by far superior.

I am between Samsung QE55Q70CATXZT 55″ QLED and LG 55″ QNED 55QNED823RE. This is going to be fixed to the wall in my living room which has a large window but also very dark at night.
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 2 месяца назад
We apologise, but we cannot provide a specific answer as the models you mentioned are not available in Australia. However, If you are looking for a television for your living room that has a large window and is in a dark place at night, you might consider a Samsung QLED display. This display technology has excellent brightness and color, which can help you to see clearly during the day and combat glare. On the other hand, if you prioritise deeper blacks and enhanced contrast for nighttime viewing, you might prefer LG QNED displays. You may find it important to consider your preference for brightness versus contrast before making a decision. Hope this helps!

Any advice LGQNED80 vs Samsung Q70C QLED. I swear the LG looks brighter and better picture. Both cost 1200 USD from costco.
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 4 месяца назад
Hi @richardrivera541 Both TVs are similarly matched for features and performance, but their functionality should be taken into consideration. For instance, the LG QNED80 has feet on either side, whereas the Samsung Q70C has a center stand. This difference might be important to you if you have limited width space on your countertop. Also, the LG TV comes with a full-size smart remote, while Samsung's remote is more compact. If you prefer more buttons on your TV remote the LG QNED80 might be the best option for you.

Shouldn't you be comparing QNED to QLED with minileds? QLED without minileds looked quite different than QLED with minileds in the store. Almost but not quite to the quality of the LG C3 on the same display that I also have in one room at home.

Is there any TV technology that does a better job of limiting glare? Our house has big windows and light colored walls and glare is so frustrating.
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 5 часов назад
Hey @Assassin32VR - when considering a TV for a bright room, it is important to look for a combination of features such as high brightness and contrast, ambient light sensors, and anti-glare screen coating. TVs with ambient light sensors can automatically adjust the screen’s brightness and contrast to match the light conditions of the room, reducing glare and enhancing viewing comfort. TVs with high brightness levels, like some high-end OLED displays, Full Array Local Dimming, or Direct LED backlighting models, can provide better performance in well-lit spaces. Good TV models to consider are the LG G4 OLED TV and the Samsung OLED S95D. Additionally, some TVs have anti-glare or matte screen coatings that minimise reflections from external light sources. Hope this helps!

I was originally going to buy an OLED TV because of the sheer quality of the picture. However, I watch a lot of sports channels, and they all have their company logo permanently displayed and fixed in one corner of the screen. I have heard multiple times that this can lead to permanent and irreversible "Screen Burn" which OLED's are notorious for. For me, that is most definitely NOT acceptable when paying such a high price. I then looked at the QLED TV's because they do not suffer from "Screen Burn", but I have been concerned about the possible back-light "leakage" issues, and the somewhat reported inferior picture quality to OLED's. Having weighed up all of the "pro's and con's" I have decided to go for a QNED TV, which more or less sits right between OLED's and QLED's, so benefits from both technologies. The QNED TV's also do not suffer from the dreaded "Screen Burn" issues associated with OLED's. For me, QNED is the way to go.

Better Qned o neo Qled?
@videopro_au
@videopro_au 4 месяца назад
Between NEO QLED and QNED the better display technology lies in NEO QLED, which outperforms QNED in terms of heightened contrast and improved black uniformity. NEO QLED's superior local dimming quality enhances its ability to deliver superior visuals, especially in dark room settings.

Thank you for sharing your perspective with us. It's worth noting that there are cases online that suggest OLED TVs have a similar lifespan to other display technologies available on the market. It’s also reassuring to note that the manufacturers' warranties for OLED are the same as those for other display technologies such as QLED, QNED, and LED LCD. We do agree that OLED displays have not yet reached their potential and look forward to what the future may bring for this display category 🙂
