Hello people. I made this informative video about where I live. When I was moving here, I was looking for videos like these. I found only a few, so I thought I should make one so that whoever is looking for it like I was may find it helpful.

This was a fantastic video man! I'm currently getting ready to move to Jersey City, and I have absolutely loved what I've seen so far. I am totally ok with being just outside the city, and I love the slightly slower pace and peaceful vibes Jersey City has. I'll eventually try to move into either Brooklyn or Queens eventually, but Jersey City is great for where I'm at currently in my life. Thanks for the video!

I would suggest you look through facebook groups or other apps like Zillow or trulia. If you know people around, ask them if there's anything available around them.

Hey Advait, thanks for doing this video. I got into Pace University for Fall 21. Please I need help in navigating an apartment. Is JC a good area to stay for commuting to Pace? Also, have similar budget like yours. Thanks for your help.

Hey hi. Yes for that budget living in JC makes much more sense. It is a good area for commuting to pace. While looking at apartments, just make sure you are near any one of the PATH stations so you can take the subway to Manhattan. If you have any other questions feel free to DM me on my Instagram.

If you have sorted roommates already, look on Zillow or you can even look on Facebook groups. Facebook groups are a great place go find houses

Although Jersey City not NYC no place In the World Is but on the Flip side You can still have the same access Being from Jersey City I'm In the City (Manhattan) multiple times per week along with Queens & Other Boroughs if I leave my house heading to the City i would get there quicker then someone traveling from Queens or Brooklyn Also where I live in Jersey City In the Urban Area as they would Say it's not much difference from when I'm In Brooklyn or Queens outside of the fact that Things stay open later in NYC

Well put! Makes more sense that way staying in JC rather than in Queens or the far end of Brooklyn. Can I ask what part of JC you live in? I live the heights area

Touching on the rent because it seams to be misleading. Manhattan studio- 1br can range from 2300 and up, The same with Brooklyn although if you look you can find descent 1brs for 1800-1900. When you live with roomates you split the rent so that's why he pay's 500 and something. Landlords are raising rents all over NYC so it may not be the best option to move here atm.

Bro, I'm from Bangladesh, i wanna come jersey city.. But i have not any strong financial background. Should i come in JC? or will i be able to manage my tuition fees by working part time job?

Jersey City is comparatively medium range for expenses. Harrison/Newark is a cheaper area to live in. Tuition fees through any kind of part time job is tough. Loan is very necessary if you have to pay tuition.

Hi! PLEASE SUGGEST on if it is better for a Indian student to live in JERSSEY CITY? I am planning to live in JERSEY CITY and COMMUTE Manhattan to attend University. Is it safe and cost friendly to rent a share student accommodation in Jersey city?

Safe yes, cost friendly, also yes. Travelling to Manhattan is a little annoying if you don't pick a good spot to stay (away from public transit or bus stops). I'd definitely suggest living in JC if your commute is to Manhattan.

You did not mention about food expenses in Jersey, can you just mention average meal expense you spend on food?

Umm. Can't really give an average as such but, groceries cost about $100-120 for the whole month. Eating outside can cost anywhere between $8-15 per meal. If there are any offers, then it get you two meals for the same price. Hope that helps!

I have no idea about Canadian jobs, so I cannot comment on it. In the US, you can do part time on campus jobs at your won University.

Great video. Born and raise in Brooklyn and it no longer makes sense. Prices are so high and bay ridge can me an hour commute. Just looking at JC apartments now! $525 is great price with a roommate. =) I'm looking closer to the Path train. Its a little more but faster train than bus and only $1.60

@Mark Watson I never got why people liked Greenpoint and Bushwick. L and G train is horrible as doesn't connect to much in Brooklyn. Had you lived in Brooklyn off the B/Q or 2/5 train would be very fast commute to atlantic Ave stop. Only 4 stops from chruch Ave B train, or the next stop is Newkirk plaza where rentals way cheaper than Greenpoint and ez commute to most of Brooklyn. Can go down to Brighton Beach 🏖 fast too. Nice in the summer. Nj still way cheaper bigger rooms. 👌😊

Fee comes from loan. Expenses come from parents. That's all. Now I'm working, so I can pay my own expenses
