I try to pick a new build each season for variety. I'm also trying to master the set dungeons for the classes as I go, so that affects my class selection as well.
Awesome guide, I really liked that you talked about the theme of each class mainly. Many other guides get lost in the detail, but I just want an overview of what each class feels like to play, great job!
This was quite a helpful video on explaining some of the builds and overall playstyles of each class! I got the game recently on console and jumped straight into Necromancer, I thought he was great if a bit broken. Having 7 permanent skeletons, spam summoning 10 skeletal mages with every attack sacrificing health for more damage and a range of support curses and bone armour to up my hp regen absurdly fast. I'm taking damage and sacrificing chunks of my hp but it instantly replenishes with my healing curses and bone armour runes. And then there's the OP bone spikes with stacking crits that just *melts* hp. I got a legendary armour piece that augmented my skeletal mages to drop corpses on death so in addition to summoning 2 at a time, hp-sacrifice for more damage they're a constant supply of bone spikes that just decimate the enemy hordes- the more enemies the more spikes and after a certain point there'll be so many spikes flying the enemy will be fueling their own demise hahahaha. 10/10 would recommend Undead army rules :D
Honestly, the first two minutes of this is kind of useless content. If you're looking to top leaderboards, you're not coming to RU-vid to figure out what the classes are like.. You know all this already. People come here looking for advice on the classes because they're new to the game and want a general idea of how each class plays.
Miguel Niemtschik sweet man ty I’m kinda new to the game just pick it up with all dlc and thought necromancer looked cool ty for the advice I’ll b playing solo
It's simple, in solo game each class are good just play what you want to play (ref to the leaderboard if you want an idea). In coop with four player Barb is tank, Monk is healer, Necro and Wizard DPS. Each class have many way to play, the question is with what skill you want to play. It's not because in an other game you love to play Barb that in D3 you will love it. For example i love to play big berserker with 2 axes, actually i play wizard because it's more efficiency with actual meta.
Hi Mnemonic, I have a suggestion for a video. How about comparing all the different defenses in the game and how they alter the character? We have vitality, armor, life %, physical resistance, elemental resistances, and All Res. You could cover how these compare with each other and what they do differently, which is better in different situations, and so on. For example, someone might be wondering if they should take 400 armor or 400 vitality when they are rerolling a stat on an item. Other people might be wondering what is the difference between armor and physical resistance. A diamond in your gear increases your All Res, but a topaz increases your Intelligence, which increases your resistances as well. I think a lot of people would find such a video very helpful. (I had another idea, too, but it has slipped my mind at the moment.)
I think the witch doctor looks awesome he's not generically cool but he's got that really evil schemer look that I love plus I just love the idea of witch doctor's in general
Witch Doctor is what I chose first as well. I love how he's a good guy that uses dark magic. I didn't really hear his opening cutscene bc the damn music was too loud lol. But I think the gist was he got banished from his tribe bc he didn't agreed with what they were doing. So he wanted to go do good instead of evil or something? Then he heard of the sky fire falling and goes to Tristrum to investigate. His skills are pretty fun too. I hate spiders, so it's funny how he can throw jars of them at the enemies. I'm typically play solo, so having the zombie dogs, a follower and the zombie gargantuan makes it feel like I'm playing with other people. Is he the strongest? No, but his chicken mode build looks hysterically fun. He gets out classed by Necro, but I think the OG WD is better. I cannot wait to dive deeper into other classes like Barbarian and the Monk
I got the switch version that came with the necromancer. So obviously I chose that one. Started it up, immediately changed my difficulty settings to the hardest I could without having beaten the game before. I can say from what I’ve seen, the necromancer is great for survivability. I feel like it’s a little too easy so I was thinking about either the demon hunter or the crusader just to switch things up a bit.
Last time I played this was on 360. Downloading it on PC as I type this. Be interesting to see what's changed since. It was a little basic on last gen console.
Choosing your main is a process of elimination. The very first character you choose to play as should be the one that you think looks the coolest. For me that was Barbarian. Then I recommend playing that class until you reach the fields of misery or until you reach level 20ish. If you’re not enjoying that characters playstyle then try out the 2nd coolest character. Then 3rd then 4th and so on. I beat the entire game as a Barbarian because I was dead set on wanting to like him but he just got boring after a while. I tried every character starting with Crusader and I ended up liking the Necromancer the most even though I find magic in general to be pretty lame.
Surprised at all the shitty comments, eventhough I shouldn't be.. its youtube after all. I think you did a good job at explaining the different character classes and what makes them good/bad depending on your play style. Thank you for posting the video!! 😎👍
5 1/2 minutes in you've said two things about the barbarian you started talking about the crusader and most of the time is Ben you just saying to watch people play class I would love to hear the differences between each class and they play style difference
I love that you say that the little showcase on the side isn't important because it shows abilities that don't get use.. You say this while it's showing charge and whirlwind..
I wanted to ask any veterans - do you find that ranged classes have a distinct advantage for survivability and damage? Basically, I find it's easier to avoid damage and deal more damage from afar as a Wizard, Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor or Necromancer. I also find it a bit more risky to play as a Monk, Crusader and Barbarian. Just curious. :)
Of the weekly challenge rifts, the only ones I was able to do without looking up strategy was Monk and Wizard. I haven't gotten a demon hunter challenge rift yet. This is my first season, I just got the game last black friday.
I cant join online adventure with a new level 1 character. Why? My first character DH can find games np, but when creating a new class it finds nothing and put me in a Game all alone. How i fix this bug?
I would like to make a new character but whats the damn point if it keeps freezing when someone joins me. Also I cant join adventure mode except my first main character. It just puts me in a single game and when i invited friends guess what it freezes.
Who the F makes goals, when picking charackters? This just sounds dumb. Pick a charackter you feel is fun or pick a charackter that is strong. That is it.
0:41 yes... we are mostly noobs... all other guides go as follow. RULE 1 FUCK THE ACTUAL GAME. RULE 2 POWER LEVEL RULE 3 FUCK YOU NOOB IM POWERED UP. Why does Diablo even bother with a story when none of the diablo3 guides can give a noobs any tips... wether it's even how to have fun or "did you know...."
Easy, pick class, play for 20 hours. Do GR 100 easily. Realize there is no new content and it's a waste of time to push into high greater rifts. Wait for next season. Diablo 3 in a nutshell.
You forgot all the extra gear you collect and stash on alt characters, then you throw it all away and like you said the new season comes and you actually need the gear you threw away LOLOLOL have to be an idiot to play this game still
This game still has players that play? Yes hi let me farm a ton of gear , throw away a bunch of gear, new season comes out and you need the gear you threw away! Farm , rinse repeat zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
